I mean, I get your point dude. I should get a Klon and a nice tube amp for that transparent feel.

Hey, just kidding and a little trolling :animal:

I mean if it's okay at home, why not. But I had some of those cables, and I won't gig with it anymore. I even didn't have issues on stage but at rehearsal. I had a bunch of overpriced George L's, sold and I now have learned to solder my own cables.

So if everybody's happy with those cables, let's hope that your $2000+ pedalboard still has no issues on stage.

TROLL!!!!

all in good fun

nobody agrees on cables

Most shows my board even with cheap cables is worth about 4 times as much as the amp and guitar I like to use.

cables...whatever...if it works it works...

i switched to lava solderless after years of using cheap cables...for 2 reasons...1 i hated the fact that the pedalboard layout was dictated by the size/length of the cables; and 2 i was curious about the hype of better cables = better tone.

on point 1, win...i can put my pedals in whatever order i want and make the necessary cable length to make it work, and it looks neater - satisfies my OCD
on point 2, no win...there is absolutely no difference in the sound of my guitar after paying almost 10x the price for the same amount of cable.

Every Hosa I've ever bought has died on me. Most of my RadioShack style cables have proven themselves. I made some cables from GLS pancakes and Mogami 2319 and am very satisfied. The placebo effect got me good on that one!

oooo Steroid OD! Very interesting - never seen one on a board.
How is it? What is comparable to?

thank you. it is hard to compare the Steroid but its a very versaitle tool. it is build to sound like an "overloaded" amp. It has lots of gain for a drive and way more volume... it can do clean boost but also works as a solid drive for mid gain. but it dont like hot pickups and signals. i am using it the most time with the bass and gate off on the neck pu for volume boost and a little grit. very huge sound. i am bad in comparing, but this thing remindes me at the tones i get from demos of "klone" pedals.

I wish they made some longer lengths! I need some that go across the length of my board and they don't make them. :( But my entire board is wire with EBS flat cables now and these are the fucking best cables ever!!
