I'm gonna be of service to the public and say the truth about this.

@UC, you may change the neck and the wood might be sexy and it might be hardtail, but it's still a strat.

You always have sexy boards, and I still love you in spite of the strat.

Well, it's not the fancy boutique board I sported back in the days, but this one is getting played out live a lot and it's a big bang for the buck.
Got rid of the ElCap recently and added a second Joyo drive. It's in use with my band Rodha on bass. Playing stuff somewhere around Eyehategod, Russian Circles, Bison BC etc.

The signal path is a bit more tricky than it seems:
Ibanez Bass Compressor (Sustain)
EBjr / tuner out -> Bass Synth wah -> Polytune -> Stereo in of ElCap -> Amp channel 1
EBjr / normal out -> Harley Benton/Joyo Ultimate Drive (whatever happened to ken?) -> Swollen Pickle -> Stereo in of ElCap -> Amp channel 2

Gonna spread some stuff out soon. I was just seeing how much I could squeeze into the first row. I have a RRR coming early next week that will probably go between the Second Voice and STEP. Until I get a second verb, then it'll be one at the beginning and one at the end.

This setup is working pretty well for me. Running everything into the Warped Vinyl is a lot of fun. Its hard for me to turn the WV off. My ears get accustomed to the thickness of it and then when I turn it off I'm like "Where did all this high end come from?"

dope board, neon.
nothing wrong with leaving the WV on all the time, i leave a flanger always on at the start of the chain for a similar thickening effect, i find the abruptness of actually turning it off can have a negative effect in some contexts so just working with a modulated 'base' tone can be really fun.

I think it would sound rad with a brighter springy reverb after it or something. I feel like it needs just a hair more high end, but I love how thick it is. If I decide to never turn it off, I might just eq my amp accordingly.

Did you sell it to technicoloraudio?

I used to have one. It was my first "crazy" pedal. I thought I didn't need it and sold it. Immediately regretted it, went through a bunch of other octavers, lost hope when I saw they were discontinued. And now I have another, and appreciate it infinitely more.

Oh I really miss this board porn. My gear-look really nosedived after I left hcfx. Such beauties!

Yup, sold/traded it to him. Dibs on the flip? haha

It's nice, I used it for a bit. It was just a really nice fuzz to me. Glad you have it and enjoy it. Good to see it out in the world.

Should I build my pedal board? Or just take photos of it on my giant pedal board that I don't use? It is pretty much set these days for usual bed room noise making.
