This guy was an accordion player before transferring over his knowledge to guitar. Pretty unique playing style with a strange sounding attack and kind of a travis picking style of bass note accents in there. I think he might use that separate pickup over the bass strings to a different amp. Like Chet Atkins mixed wtih Joe Pass?
