Aight speaker suggestion time guys....

So I wanna put new speakers in my Randall 2x12 + 1x15. The stock Emi Legends are too bright for my taste and the 15 doesn't put out the low end I'm looking for. I did try the head through a Emi Delta 15LFA loaded 2x15 and LOVED the tone. It had the prominent and neutral mids and low end I was looking for and the reduced high end made the amp EQ alot more versatile as well as removing all harshness. So I'm kinda thinking of using one of those for the 15's as they are fairly cheap, BUT it's hard to find a 12 that will match up well. I was thinking of just using the 12" version of the delta LFA but their rated at the same wattage so I'm not sure if the power distribution would throw anything off.

Here's the 15's details:
8ohm
500w
96db sensitivity

Here's what I need out of a 12:
4ohm
200-250w
low to mid 90's sensitivity

Thoughts? Recommendations?

cant wait to see you live ax
ill try for easter

That'd rule. The guy running sound last weekend had just moved up from florida, this was the first show he'd worked on. Had no idea who the local bands were. I think he found the cheese metal scene but not the good stuff. Studio 7 is not a good place to go if you want real music. Mentioned Torche and he got all excited so I tried to get a list of bands to check out together for him. When you come out make sure you hit us locals up so the same doesn't happen to you!
Hell I lived here for years and didn't get clued in. Granted, I was in the Army at the time and crazy busy but I missed a lot.
let us know when and maybe we can schedule an Ancient Warlocks, Ex-Gods, Flux, Red Cloud show and make it a DR evening.

I'm super happy with how this recording came out. I wish I was always recording music I like to listen to. That reminds me, Josh sent me a copy of the whole album to check out. I need to do that, once my ears recover from being blow out by Down.

Tracked rhythm guitars at Flatline Audio this weekend.

We realized that all three of us are using BAT for our main dirt sounds on this record. Phil is using an Oath, I'm using the Quantum Mystic, and Dan (bass) is using a Revelation Superbass and Ritual.

No way! I listen to their stuff from time to time. Old Gods was pretty rippin'. Sorry to hear it. If it wasn't a good split, sorry to bring back the memories. :(

It's either stay up all night typing or take my laptop to the show and write as I sit behind our merch (which I doubt I would even focus enough to do so). I definitely should not have procrastinated on this one, ha!

Super stoked to hear that new Khemmis stuff. Zach's been keeping me up to date when I see him at TRVE.

Just in case anybody was wondering, these amps are fantastic. Not mine, but I got to tinker extensively with it at our rehearsal spot (my basement), and now I want one SOOOOOOO BADLY. Without even hesitating, I would take this KT-88 beast of amp over any vintage Orange, Sunn, Hiwatt, Marshall...you name it. That's not something I could have imagined typing a few days ago.
