People on here are generally too civil for public scolding, but You do realize there is a Klon on that board and there is quite a lot of mockery going on about that pedal over here.
@Rat King: I had no idea! I only ever frequented this gear board, my first love and I know about most others only from hearsay. I did post a couple of times on Muffwiggler and the DAM forum, but never really got involved. I probably just wanted to unlock the bst section.
Maybe I'm a bit naive, but I think most people here would be in agreement that the Klon is a nice overdrive and if you're interested in overdrive I think most dudes would want to at least jam through one. The pedal cops shit, and rightly so, for the prices people pay, and the reactions it elicits from certain people. However, I don't think you see those reactions here - i.e. that people go nuts about gold vs silver horse, that it's a million times better than your Caveman drive or whatever is popular etc. I mean, look at the Chanks/Skully klon comparison thread. It's a pretty long thread mostly with people psyched to hear about a pedal and compare some stuff. Been a while since I read it, but I don't recall anyone flipping out and arguing over differences in diodes/prices etc. Any arguments about Klons have mostly involved dudes with pretty low post counts.
But I'm an optimist when it comes to how open ILF is. I could be totally wrong on this front.

Yeah, I didn't get banned but I got suspended for a week and then a month on my second offense. Pretty boring shit both times. I have this place, I don't need any other venue for music related cyber-loafing.

I think ILF is pretty awesome in regards to accepting musical viewpoints and pedal choices.
People shouldn't have to apologize for what they put on their boards.

Dude, I had no idea so many rad options and combinations existed before I came here.
If you'd have said to me, "yeah, I put reverb at the front and end of my chain, in between are 4 Different kinds of fuzz" before I joined, I would have punched you in the dick.
Now, although, I don't do that myself, I can totally see where people are going with it and that the sounds they make are really inspiring to get the most wierdness out of my gear as well.

One usually has to turn on Fox News to see so many pissed off, insincere and condescending millionaires in 1 place. Plenty of myopic people you'd never want to work for, seek advice from or live alongside are regular posters there.
While some truly good sources of info do dwell among the bitter old codgers, it's those hypersensitive and pompous empty cans who rattle the loudest with more dollars than sense.
On the plus side, they do have some nice gear...but lack the taste (and vision) to do anything interesting or meaningful with it.
And the forum rules about *civility* are laughable...given the amount of passive aggressive contempt and hostility that festers.
I do feel some sympathy for the mods, who somehow manage to endure the whining of so many petulant middle aged children in their backyard.

Literally my first thought was "you should really switch the delay/fuzz"

I always had my TAFM set up too synthy sounding to be any good after reverb.
