Thanks! Hot damn, that mkII!!!!!!!! Kicking myself for not buying the Electric Eye that was up on DAM forums the week before Christmas at $400.
EDIT: While neither a mkI or mkII, I just scored a black glass Jext Telez on Reverb for half price. He's clearing them out right now.

I did yesterday an a/b test with Tristians warm Jet and mine: They Sound so brutal different it isn't even funny. Two complete different pedals. Right now i wouldn't believe in any online clip of these.

That's good to know. Did they have the bias controls in the same location (outside or inside of the pedal) and do you know how far apart were they built?

it also sounds cool when you patch one of the outputs to the other input.
those laser sounds.
I've had a DL-8 for about a year or two now.
How the fuck did I not think of doing this before! The laser sounds/general feedback noise sounds are awesome

Stop reminding me that I really like the dl-8 and should own it.

Mine is one of the first batch. I lend mine to Tristian and he ordered one to the same specs (tagboard, 2 bias controls on the outside). What he got is sth. complete different. Mine is a texture fuzz, his is a straight rock Fuzz...

That's strange. I had one of the PCB boards for diyers. I remember not playing it very much. At home at a low volume it sounded ok but I remember it shining when cranked through a really loud amp. I let it go but if I ever built it again I would leave the bias controls inside as trimmers.

You'll find a lot more uses I feel. Watching TV and reading comics in bed, recording quick ideas using Garageband, using it as a remote for playing music from a computer, Animoog and other synths. I can't recommend the iPad enough.

Some major Gristleizer GAS building. If anyone here is building them, I'd definitely be interested!

Interesting. This is good info. Maybe ghost_effects will chime in.

Well, I'm just going to contact Ian about it again when I get home and we'll clear things up.
Honestly though, even though I already thought there was going to be a significant difference between the two before we did the comparison I was still quite shocked at how different they actually where.
