Is it vain of me to kinda dismiss it from a design standpoint? My board is so cool and monochrome.
I've seriously considered it before, but I think the Possessed would be more my kinda thing. Also, I've already got a Raptio, which makes me think that something like the Particle would be cool. But I have some cool delays already. So maybe the Count to Five. But I don't use loopers, and apart from that it kinda seems like something I could pull of with PS2 + Raptio + No Memory. So that's where I'm at. Maybe I don't need a new pedal at all. Maybe the hole should remain open as a sign of my zen.

Pssh. No way. I would say go with a CT5. You can get Possessed-esque sounds and so much more. Or if you want something simpler/cheaper, try to find a Goodbye 24. Its less like a looper and more like a crazy glitch delay. And way cheaper than the particle.

Yeah, I'm just not sure if I'm really "feeling it" with the ct5/gb24. Yeah, they're really cool, just not sure it's my thing. Sorry for not being on the bandwagon anymore.

I'm sure you'll enjoy it a lot. High quality 10-20 watts amps are my favorite, especially with a lot of character and bottom end

Yeah, I'm hoping for dirty cleans with headroom to handle getting blasted by a Mini.
Most of the low watt amps I've tried didn't sound great with added dirts.

out of all the pedals you mention the judder is the most glitchy and interesting in my experience with them all. I've got a hexe revolver on its way to me and I'm looking forward to that. The possessed is pretty amazing though, it can get into some interesting textures. They all are amazing pedals, if only every tough decision resulted in this much fun. hard to make a bad move.

I read that as "handle getting blasted by a Miami".
You will give us the full report, please, MEC.

Yeah, you're right, I'll end up happy either way.

What I need/want/think I need/want is something that needs little hands-on control, can create glitchy soundscapes and background noises as well as completely chop up my signal. It needs to be relatively simple to operate, and have few but usable functions. Delay and/or pitch shifting is a bonus, but not really important as I've got that covered. In short, I don't need something with loads of "new" sounds, but something that goes well with the rest of my board and adds to my general sound in a complementary and awesome way.
Well, I guess that doesn't rule out any of the suggestions.

Edit: Oh, hey, MEC, sweet Reeves!

Care to elaborate? I'm treally GASing for the Possessed and from the videos I've seen of the CT5 so far, it doesn't sounds as random as the MASF.
Thanks!

I will probably be selling a majority of my gear sometime next year so I'll let you know if it doesn't make the cut, haha.
Eivind, I think the possessed would be the better glitch pedal for background noise out of those I've tried. Revolver is more pristine and less random sounding, I like that one for the wacky noises I can make by sampling other pedals momentarily which the possessed wouldn't be as good for I think. Possessed does some weird things in the extremities of the settings too which are kind of hard to describe but pretty interesting. Personally I prefer pedals that don't combine many different types of sound changes so the goodbye 24 I had and other pedals that pitch shift as well as glitch or delay etc are less intuitive to me than combining individual effects. But everyone is different.
