Just bought a DOD corrosion fx70c complete with battery door for like $30.
Sounded awful in the best way possible.

Nice. Those have always tempted me.

It's the shit. Most useful gear purchase I've ever made. The rhythms and looper are mostly why I bought it (for training) and are WELL worth the price. Most of the effects actually sound legit and the amp models aren't terrible either. Now I've got to spend weeks creating new patches  I'm going to name them using stuff in the Band Names thread.

It's worth lurking/searching the digital modeling sub forum at TGP to pick up some tips for tweaking the Zoom stuff, particularly for effects chaining. (I think the G3/G5 and Multisomps all share the same algorithm family as this guy.) The Zoom threads in that sub tend to be fairly low on the douche-canoe scale, so not all that painful.

I played one of those and the Fender Ron Emory Loyalty in the store a couple of weeks ago. And the Fender totally blew the Gretsch out of the water. The Gretsch did have that nice, trashy sound to it, just like you want from a beater guitar, but honestly I'd rather buy some used old guitar than a new one for the money and *that* sound.

These Framus'ses are pretty common over here and sell for like 60€ regularly. I had one and it was awesome. But some french mathematician threw it out of a bus on Korfu. Folly of the youth.

The Ron Emory sounded more like an actual guitar. Still have to try that The Loar one too!

Just sold my 20th fuzz, most of which have been sold (and bought) during the last two years. Don't know whether to celebrate or seek help. Or buy moar.

Buy 20 more is my vote.

I was somehow either too stoned or too hung over to do so.

Seppuku Digital Water is in the building. I just tweaked some knobs and played some chords for 10-15 minutes. Sounds promising!

It's definitely not going to win any beauty contests, that's for sure. But I like its quirky looks. Stands out.
