Car water leaking again, probably from the radiator, luckily I managed to get home before overheating.
I'm sick of spending money to repair a different thing of that stupid car every 4 months in the last 2 years but don't have enough money to buy a new one.

Cute bods and high action is where the toan lives.
I was obsessed with low action for a few months. Easier to play = hotter licks, right? Except it just means faster licks, not better. Cranked them strings up and started to work on knowledge instead of technique.

Still got nothing to show for it, either way but at least I don't get as much buzz!

i have to keep my action way the h*ck up there...otherwise i get unbearable fret buzz. it's not optimal, but then i never liked hyper-speedy guitar playing anyway. when the Mahavishnu Orchestra was a thing, i said "i am not impressed with people who operate their guitar like a little machine gun," and i especially cannot abide your post-1985 shredder bois. just shut the fuck up already.

I wasn't born until 83, but I'm not much of a shredder either.

sorry, guys...it's the Satriani/Vai axis i can't stand cos all it offers is empty virtuosity. i might like your music if i heard it. i dug e.g. Zappa's playing though you could lump him with "shredders."

i know, right? it's a testimony to his genius that he could ever get within artillery range of being in tune.

The three rock bands I've been really interested in seeing lately are all playing at the obnoxious-as-hell Shaky Knees festival... on three different days. Meanwhile, Frisell is skipping Atlanta this year and playing like five nights in a row in totally different groups at Big Ears in couple weeks, but it's minimum $250 + travel.

yeah, i would totally go to Big Ears if i could afford the admission + time off work. other than that, IMO festivals are a blight on the planet; i'd rather be kneecapped than go to Lock'n, which occurs only a few miles from my house. i'm an old Deadhead, but modern jam-band fans make me sick to my stomach.

I got too high and had probably the worst panic attack I've ever had. Sobbing, couldn't breathe, the works.

So note to self, never mix edibles with tons of straight flower unless I realllllllllly wanna hate myself the next day. oof.
