I get a bonus at my job, everytime someone gives me shit for questioning capitalism, I always point out I should be able to earn a living wage without relying on a bonus, but that's a pandora box of rantsjirodreamsofdank wrote:Every time there's a discussion of stagnant real wages - online, at a bar, whatever - some dipshit has to pipe up with "well, I just got a raise so that can't be right" and I want to put all of those people against the wall.

Ah yes, the classic "I am personally fine so this must not be a real problem for anyone else" conclusion of myopic, self-absorbed dipshits everywhere.jirodreamsofdank wrote:Every time there's a discussion of stagnant real wages - online, at a bar, whatever - some dipshit has to pipe up with "well, I just got a raise so that can't be right" and I want to put all of those people against the wall.

I would contend that trickle down economics works quite well for rich people who don't need more money but seem to desperately want it anyway.BetterOffShred wrote:Oh for sure. I am feeling that.

I think that at a certain point how much personal wealth rich people can accumulate just becomes a way for them to keep score so they can compete with each other.

I mean the other 99%
which I consider to be everyone. And yes you're correct. It's just a game past a certain point.

Someone told me I should get my pup trained as a service rog so I could bring her into bars. That's doubly infuriating for me, one, because mine and my psychologist's opinion that I'm doing very well, and also that I would exploit an essential service. I'm eligible to draw native american benefits, disability, welfare, etc, but I am still able to earn a living and have a great support in the community if I need help, so I refuse, and someone who made a very public toast to Trump telling me how to cheat the system for folks who need it drives me up the fucking wall

If any of you guys hate me and would like to come to my home and shoot me in brain so that I die, I am accepting offers.

Speaking of euthanasia, you jogged my memory about a dream I had the other night, so I need to resurrect the dream thread.

Man, I don't know what it is about drinking wine, but every time I do, I wake up after 3+ hours and am unable to go back to sleep. I only drink ever drink 3 glasses at a time, 4 at the most. And usually only once a week. I feel fucking robbed! Admittedly first world whining, but what the fuck?!

Upon doing some reading, there's a rebound effect due to your body metabolizing the alcohol while sleeping.jirodreamsofdank wrote:Blood sugar spike?
