Oh wow, that is a hella throwback. Wonder how that Vid is doing...

This. They are supposedly super friendly and unlike most companies you might want to make sure you have a while to chat about amps and loudness.

Yeah, The Jacob surprised me the most out of the box since I was like 'yeah...another muff' but it was solid. If I remember, there were two diode switches, and running one side Si and the other Ge kicked my dick in.

I like it too. The drums may be a little more than what doom is used to, but it's quite good.

This record actually came out digitally some time ago. I enjoy it more than Book Burner but less than Phantom Limb.

Pretty much all my knowledge of Pig Destroyer is a few songs off of Book Burner, and that they did a colab beer with Three Floyds.

I still have the cd of Prowler In The Yard and the tshirt (somewhere, I think, it became a sleeveless tour van shirt at some point) from when it came out and never bothered listening to anything after that. I'm just weird in the fact that if I find an album I really like from a band, I might not care about keeping up with them or bother seeking out new albums that much. There are exceptions obviously, but there just aren't many bands that stay really great across several albums. I guess being a Metallica fan when the black album came out (first cd I ever bought with my own money) is probably what programmed that behavior into me. Then reinforced by a lot of grindcore, punk, hardcore and death metal bands that went off the rails and just kept making albums for years. There is the rare band that changes drastically and I actually like the newer version better.

I used to be WAY into pxdx, as I was real into grind when I was in college. Not my thing so much anymore, but every now and then I'll throw on Prowler in the Yard or 38 Counts. I reallllllllllllllly do not like that "doom" EP.

The new/old Inter Arma track, on the other hand, is fucking unreal. Been listening to it a lot while I grade, and I just can't get enough of it.

Phantom Limb and Terrifyer are absurdly good.

And Permanent Funeral is so goddamn delicious. Image

Truth. Permanent Funeral is the jam.

Also, agreed on the new Inter Arma track.
I didn't even realize I had listened to the whole album when it ended.
