That's a pro looking setup you've got there...and one of inspiring choices.
I still don't quite know what the Raptio does to sound, but its control interface speaks to me and says WANT.
I haven't looked into it because it's likely something that would quickly rise to the top of my short list...which currently prioritizes NEEDS.

It does one of two things, it either takes a sample and holds it out like an ambient pad as long as you hold the switch down, or takes a sample and plays it back in a choppy, glitchy way. The center knob controls the sample length and you can control the dry and sample volumes independently.

I keep it on glitch with a short sample time and the dry volume dialed out completely, so I can grab one note out of a riff and glitch it out. Super fun.

how you like the dime wah? Always wanted to try one

Just got it yesterday. Haven't spent much time with it yet, but it seems quite versatile.

Isnt that the Nick Reinhart one that they had a contest for a while ago?

Yeah, it was Nick's. They auctioned it off on Reverb.

Not exactly a board yet, but this is sorta like the blue print of what my new slightly downsized board should look like:

Image

I focused on the essentials, and tested a ton of stuff with both my amps. Ditched the novelties and weird crap that I never put to good use anyway, and went for functionality and bang for the buck-ness. No finnicky or temperamental peds for me, nor anything with a ton of knobs and wacky options. At the cost of ilf hipster credibility I'm sure, but it'll be a rad giggin board none the less:)

I already have a power supply and all the cables I need, I just have to order a case and cut a piece of plywood to the right size.
The freeze will probably end up between the modulation and delay, and I might eventually add a compressor and a reverb pedal if it'll fit on the board I'm ordering. As far as the reverb goes, I'd love to try an EQD Afterneath, but suggestions for an affordable compact compressor would be welcome.`
And it's probably a matter of time until I give in to my fuzz GAS and buy somekind of muff or tone bender again

I think so too, even though it's quite the opposite philosophy of my board. I tend to go for more novelty rather than less. :)

Make sure to try the freeze running into the modulation as well. It's nice to have the droning note warbling.

I'm trying to do the same thing. It's just so hard sometimes to take something off a board.

PostCount = PostCount + 1

This normally feeds three hungry tube amplifiers.. Lately its been feeding three not so hungry interface channels..

Nice, Micah!

I was like "what's with all the custom Glass Hero?", then I saw it was you. :thumb:

Nice to see you're running a Rainbow Machine.

So, what else you got on there?

Robo-wah (shown but not connected in pic) > stutter/Kill > glass hero dirty lil booster > Glass Hero Nothing Button > Boss Stupid Shifter > (at this point the signal splits)

(top) Rainbow Machine w/ exp > Glass Hero Filter-1 > sound saw > EHX Stereo Memory Man > Two Custom Glass Hero Tube Amplifiers (see attached pic for speaker options)

(bottom) Glass Hero Fuzz Supreme > sound saw > Boost Control > Heavily Customized Wah circuit > Custom Glass Hero Tube Amplifier..

I attached a pic from several years back (sorry about the fuzzy pic) that displays some of the speaker cabs and has a few of the custom tube amps, also the pedal boards used when playing in the band i was in back then..

As someone who can hear above 12kHz...just seeing this type of setting makes me flinch :|:

TGP gets a bad rap...but a lot of the most self-righteous (and contentious) users make me recall the type of nerds who'd remind the teacher to collect homework assignments that made your favorite subject seem boring. Only they're all 30 years your senior...
Maybe ILF gets a bad rap over there as a site for juvenile misfits who dwell in the back of the class. Art class. For the gifted weirdos, stylish hacks, and talented cooler kids

siiick

But

1)how come no effect level on delay? He be like "daddy why no different sound"?

2) why your son named Emily? (Wrote on board)

1) it's veryyyyy basic. It's always on as well, the switch broke years ago. Not that he'll mind much. I can always zero out the delay time and repeats and it basically has no influence on the sound. There is a level knob tho, marked level. On the pedal dude. :p point being it works for him to make noise.

2) Emily is my little sister, she donated the clipboard to me for the cause after she heard I was building one. :joy:

re: 1) I think he be referring to the level being all the way down.
But you explained that. It's the bypass.

How old is your son?
