I am using it in a pejorative sense for the band
Earth is meandering but it works for them
It does not work forEW

Sooooooo.... new Mastodon is not terrible. The structure and production is not like a bunch of monkeys banging on shit with mashed potato. At least it's not that.
Really tempted to sell my Matamp 2x12. I haven't used it properly in a while, and seeing as I have no head any more it's just going to be used as a cool table to hold my pedals. I think I could maybe get €300 for it in cash. If I sold a couple of more pedals then I'd have more than enough to finish paying for the Dunwich and the beginnings of a new guitar... or a new graphics card.

I like the new EW, probably the most solid thing I've heard them do in ages
Black Masses had a couple of stand-out tracks but seemed to be mostly filler, whereas this seems to be consistent with itself
I like.

Gonna have to give it a go on the big stereo tonight.
I was just being silly. As a mix engineer I expect all instruments to be balanced. As a bassist, live on stage, I expect total subsonic dominance.
I like the new EW just fine. More than Black Masses and We Live, not as much as Witchcult Today, Let Us Prey and Dopethrone.

I've been checking out the band Espers. Some really cool stuff, especially through headphones.

I think I sit with boxman and Corey on the new EW.
Definitely a solid record, though.
Also I think Legalise Drugs and Murder was written for parents.

I'll get back to you on that one, once my kid hits 2 years old.

My daughter is coming into her terrible two phase with a fucking vengeance.
Giving us all sorts of hell.

New EW didn't do anything for me, but then I wasn't a fan to begin with. (You already knew that my tastes are suspect, yes?) New Witch Mountain, however, is right up my street.

Yeah I'll have to give that new Witch Mountain a go. Did they have a lineup change recently, or am I thinking of someone else?
Dude I think it's ok to be underwhelmed by EW. It's not like they've reinvented the Sabbathian wheel.
Some of us just happen to like that wheel.
A lot.

They have one coming: Uta's said that she's leaving the band after this touring cycle.

Yeah, I read an interview with her about leaving Witch Mountain. Kind of a bummer, since her vocals are a high point of the band. I'm curious as to whether they're going to try to replace her with another talented female vocalist or just have one of the guitarists fill in. It would make playing any of the songs they recorded with her on vocals fairly difficult. I'm guessing since she gave her notice right after their EU tour that she probably doesn't want to do a lot of extensive touring for the new album in the near future.

I'm kind of hoping my son takes more after me than my wife. I was pretty quiet and well behaved, making spaceships out of cardboard boxes and digging holes in the back yard. My wife was giving herself haircuts and breaking into neighboring houses, looking for chewing gum. I doubt he'll turn out like either one of us actually, since someone will actually be looking after him and paying attention lol.

That sucks she's going. Her vocals are definitely a huge part of that sound.
Haha! That's gold man!
Yeah my son is the quiet one, he's given us no grief outside of the fact that he can be really sensitive sometimes.
She's a fucking terroriser.
