Snagged a V4 the other day and I couldn't be more stoked. Sadly don't get to rip it until practice this weekend, feels good to start to enter the ranks around here to a degree, some of you mother fuckers are insane (in the best way possible)

Sweet score!!!!! I've learned that those amps are pretty fucking beastly for sure, and definitely love pedals.

Old Peculier is excellent with food as well. In fact, it may make it easier if you're not normally an Ale fan.

So I just tried Chrome Flat Wound strings from D'Addario on my Guild and I really don't like them. The wound G is basically impossible to bend. They're useless for anything but single note picking runs and chords. I guess that's why Jazz and Doom guys love 'em.

V4 for the win! I love mine, as well as my v2.

I had those strings...i thought they sounded a little dull...also didn't sustain that much, so i didn't persist with them. But then later on i found out that i needed a buffer as my board and cables were sucking too much of the original signal. Would love to try them again though.

Also...that V4 looks great.

And...Marrow...what a song...!!!

I pretty much only shop at Aldi now. Lidl I'm not as keen on, but it has some great chocolate for super cheap. I also buy my meat from a proper butchers.

Sam, they sound fine, but they feel like steel girders or telegraph lines. Great for riffs that require no dynamics or jazz licks. I hate wasting strings, and I hate changing strings in general, but I can't imagine getting used to them any time soon, though you never know. Intonation on these are very good, actually.

Sounds like something to be avoided. Better keep an eye on it.
