I built myself a semi clone of the Memory Loss this Summer (there is no full schematic of this anywhere, but some clever people reverse engineered something that sounds similar from looking at photos of the PCB I guess) and that is great fun, if rather hard to control (geting the glitch effect to activate really requires careful volume / picking technique). Is the original also difficult to control?
Also the Eroder description sounds like something I would love!
Thank you for your nice words! I only added a little bit of reverb to achieve a "room" sound, like in all my demos. The noticeable strong reverb-like sounds are indeed produced by the Loome. You can have a listen to the dry sound snippets without the amp and the post-effects on my website.
I did a demo of the Kompakt Kassette/Memory Loss pedal that I received from Christophe for inspection. It is a little bit difficult to tame the Memory Loss. I remember that I cursed a lot when doing the demo recordings, because sometimes the circuit behaves a little bit unpredictable.
The "Eroder" sounds really awesome on paper. I hope that Rhys will supply more information about this one soon.

I had a Memory Loss and it was hella unpredictable. I ended up selling it because of that.

Thanks chaps, it sounds like the semi clone I made seems to follow the original then! I found that the volume going into the pedal greatly influenced whether the glitch effect would trigger / let me carry on playing while it glitched - so the setting of the Load pot was the most important as this seems to be some sort of envelope that causes the glitches. I modified the build to have a much louder fuzz effect which is pretty good at triggering the glitch, but the downside is the glitches get even more lofi! Still, it's an amazing design.

I would recommend running a compressor before the MemLoss. That's what I did in my comparison video from years ago. It really helps in making the glitching/reset more predictable in relation to dynamic picking/strumming.
