This is why learned how to work on my own shit. I'm really sorry to hear you're at the mercy of this dildo for repairs. I fix gear for beers ( when I can, and no beers during tube amp repair and that 600V )Iommic Pope wrote:Currently waiting outside the rehearsal studio where my amp is getting repaired. Motherfucker said he’d be here from 9:00 and of course, he’s let the bands in and fucked off. It took me the better part of half an hour to drive here. He told me he had an emergency and was 35 minutes away. Then texted again to say he’d only be 15. He’s had the fucking thing for two weeks after saying it’d only be a couple of days. The price of repair is nearly double what the service quote is.
Why the fuck are all these cunts like this? How the fuck do you run a business?
There’s a bunch old, fat white guys rehearsing Johnny Be Good inside. And I have to fucking vote today.
This is crushing and good vibe I had when I woke up.

Re: The spite, hate, rage, apathy and mild irritation thread
Holidays are bringing me dooooown. Trying to stay upbeat, but my wrecked-ass family keeps pulling. I don’t want to see you, guys. How can I be more clear. Too much shit has happened to salvage this. Thanksgiving was a hosting marathon.
Also, pumped to go to the big traditional Italian mafiosi party on Xmas eve, where I caught one of my cousin’s kids trying to get up my then 3 year old daughter’s skirt. Took everyone I had not to beat the shit out of the little fucker.
We drew his name for the kids’ gift exchange this year. Ideas? I was thinking of maybe a toy prison to get him acclimated.

I feel you, Iman, this season does that to me too for what sounds like similar reasons; I just have the benefit of not having kids so I'm not really viewed as a real person so can't be considered to host.
I'd recommend getting the little shithead a small bag of clay. He probably doesn't have a wonderful creative side so he'll just be disappointed you got him such a lame gift and it will inevitably make a horrendous mess in the house he lives in. Or some eggs. Get him some normal eggs.

Get him a big bag full of glitter.
Better yet, put it in an envelope so when he greedily tears it open he'll get glitter bombed.

Second the glittering.
Personally, if it were me, id get a box, make it look all nice. Hold it out for him to open, and when he does “POW” fist to the damn face.
Little shit crossed the line, so I wouldnt be afraid to do the same.

If it were at his house, I’d do the glitterbomb, but I’d just be punishing the host. Still considering it.
It really gets to me. All you do is try and protect them. Turn away for one minute and some little asshole...ugh. Anyway, he knew what he was doing because he panicked and ran when I caught him. If his parents were ever sober or present enough to talk to, I’d give that a shot. They’re brick wall people, unsurprisingly.

Re: The spite, hate, rage, apathy and mild irritation thread
How old is he? The older he was the grosser it gets. You know what, don't answer, I don't want to know now.
It is bewildering to me now that we put ourselves through so much bullshit to spend time together with people we share DNA with.
I have like nothing in common with my family. Black sheep, sure. Almost made it through two family functions without an issue until my dad said something stupid and I hastily/sternly corrected him. Well, we let a lot of crazy shit fly out of my mom's mouth without correcting her, she can believe what she wants and make up memories that never happened. "Remember when you went through your quilt phase?" she asked.
WHAT THE SERIOUS FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? I don't feel the need to correct her or argue anymore, I think everyone knows she is batshit crazy. Worse, I suspect she has a semi-casual-regular pill addiction, after putting puzzle pieces together over like the last 25 years. Explains a lot. Like too much. Including my own preferences and past habits because I was raised to "take something" for anything. I have said too much probably.
Then it depresses me to think that one day my daughters are going to despise me too. But there is hope right? Some families actually enjoy spending time together, right? Fuuuuuck.

Q: Are you all so spread out that you've learned to cherish the rare amounts of time that you're all in the same room and/or are immune to the daily grind of living with people that makes mountains out of molehills?
A: Yes, how did you know?
Q: I am you.
A: Fair.

Ha. Maybe that would help a bit. My parents are moving away. My sister is moving away. Etc. Probably won't see them much. Which is quite a mixed bag of emotions.

To be fair, I will go months without seeing them now. No daily bullshit. Just bullshit every time we get together. Every. Time.
