I'd be super interested in that. I feel like I need to try a rusty box or boxidizer but since I play bass, guitar and bass vi regularly I don't know which to go for!!

Yeah they're incredible. I'm going to make demos soon, I'm working on phaser textures so I've been playing though different pedals, thought I would make a demo of the Infanem Faye's Her and then the Morley phaser, then flanger.

If I ever need to simplify my setup for any reason, I'm getting another rusty box. It just made some of my Fuzzes act weird. Some got too squishy or accented the high too much. Rusty Box and Mini is like the best combo ever for Shellac/Jesus Lizard/Young Widows type bass tones though.

Rusty box sounds super rad on guitar as well as bass, but i have heard the boxidizer can cut some low end and sound a bit thin on bass

yeah the boxidizer sorta does the same thing, it chews up really heavy pedals and doesn't seem to like them but the Mini actually worked really well, especially driving the input with a lot of volume.
they're the kind of thing you can't really expect to just be a subtle preamp to make your whole setup sound different in a nice way, more like 'fuck-your-other-pedals-i'm-steve-albini'.
it's interesting, i've seen a few rusty boxes live and the dudes who use them always have tiny boards if they're keeping it on all the time.
