Yeah, wtf? Kitchen Aid stuff looks like it's been in the vicinity of an industrial designer who passed design school. You can't boil water with crocs. I see no possible connections.

Today I purchased a weekly subscription to Macaroni island coffee. No regrets, no egrets. Ready to pour some of that down my throat.

Haha, thank you!
Satanic puppies are serious business, though.
Don't take them lightly, no matter how cute and cuddly their tiny faces and little paws are.

Having some new coffee beans today: Ethiopian Guji Shakiso, a la Macaroni Island Coffee. I'm waiting on my new hand grinder to come in the mail. Then I'll have a nice little setup: Single-serving french press, small hand grinder, and good beans to put in them! I kinda want to try out another brewing method eventually, like pour-over or a moka pot or something.

Don't try Moka pot, it's generally not worth it.
(Also, I think you'll like the Shakisso. They're generally excellent.)

Do try the puertorican sock method. If youre real good you can run it tyrough ac oupe times and it turns into this delicious caffeine sludge.

I use a moka pot every day and enjoy it (obviously). As long as you grind a little coarser than for espresso, and don't expect it to taste like espresso it's great. You can make nice caffe americano buy diluting it with hot water. But it's really easy to burn the coffee with a moka. But seriously, I love all types of coffee - the brewing method makes for so many different experiences.

Damn. I got my coffee mill in today. It's a knockoff, not the real deal (even though I ordered it through Amazon). It didn't even come with some of the stuff it was supposed to have. Amazon is shipping me a proper one overnight, which is nice. Bummed I don't get to play with it today, but that's okay, I can be patient.
