Having a lot of fun with this. Still feeling like I haven't nailed the octave up tone I want. The micro pog is awesome but I miss the envelope control that the Pog 2 has that makes the attack on bass a lot fatter. Tempted to try a bass whammy too.

Oh, that's just a regular Mackie mixer, nothing fancy there.

The bass whammy is awesome coming from someone who had a POG2

Good to know man. Thanks! The voicing definitely seems to be better to my ears from demos.

I don't want to want a bass whammy. But I do!

I really like it man. I use it a lot for upper register melodies on bass. With depth set high on normal riffs, it sends fuzzes crazy. When it's set subtle it can do the organ thing really well. Not sure why univibe isn't a more popular effect. Vibe into fuzz always sounds great.

Cool.
Nice to hear your opinion on bass, I'm always keen to hear how stuff works in the lower register as it suits my needs.
I might have to upgrade in the future then. I have a microvibe now that sounds really nice on a clean tone but just doesn't have fun with fuzz.
Vibe rules man.
Especially on bass.

If a vibe isn't working well with fuzz then it's time to try a new one because that's not how vibes are supposed to work.
Yes, the chorus mode's throb, used pre-fuzz w/bass is marvelous. With a Muff, specifically
All that gets modulated is the bottom end while the midrange & treble just sits in the mix, tone maintained.
That pulsing bottom-end creates phasing that causes fuzz to take on whole new textures...without the jet swoosh of most phasers & flangers.

Initially, I thought it could be because I was using a hyperfuzz stacked into a Black Forest (try and get the scooped mids back). I bought an Emerald Prince to stick in front and the vibe came back into the sound again (sounded tits, actually), BUT the problem is output impedance, so there's a huge volume drop. Kevin wrote in the EP's manual that some unbuffered pedals could suffer a volume loss after it, so I was going to build a loop to put the vibe in that switched a buffer on in front of it as well.
Which I may have to consider if I get a replacement vibe anyway.
The Micro does a pretty good job actually, gets nice and chewy clean, but I've heard the Wilson is pretty much the tits.

I do! It's got some similarities with my other delays, but enough of its own characteristics to hold its own. Thanks again!
