I dunno about that, it depends on what you're using and what the realistic scope of the project is. We've kind of come full circle with sampling in that regard -- the deluge of music is so massive that there's little incentive to get anything cleared... your record isn't going to get shelved because you didn't clear a sample, you know?

My Dad passed away last week and I think my entire emotional core has shut down. Tomorrow is a week of a world without him and I don't know doing anything anymore.

The physical aches and pain associated with winter are creeping back in and my wrists keep locking up. My V4 blew a fuse (finally) and that blows a chunk of my "fun fund" out the window on something decidedly un-fun. Worst of all though, the local beer store closes at 6pm every day except Friday, which is 9pm and Sunday, when it doesn't open. I'm at work 100% of the time I want to go buy beer and it's starting to get pretty emotional.

I feel for you but that is a+ sig material right there.

Instagram is so fucked. Earlier today I posted a picture saying that I've posted a new track to soundcloud with a link etc. The image now has 52 likes and I've gained 12 followers (which will be gone again tomorrow or the next day), but the track I posted about has gotten 0 plays from any of those people.

So now I actually somewhat feel I've got all the pedals I want/need at the moment. Only problem is now I need to find an effing band to use them in.
Hoping our rehearsal room troubles will sort themselves next week and we can get going with my post-metal/experimental band again so we can FINALLY finish up writing and get to reherasing and recording those two bloody concept EP's we've been working on for ages. But most of all I really wanna find a group to play bass with. Like really really really.
At the moment though, I'm at a stand still, and have been for almost 6 months now. And I suck at the waiting game. I'd give anything (well, almost...yeah..) to have this sort itself now.
I'm just sooo ready to go, but have nothing to go for. Ugh.

I'm so with you there man. I really am. I got gear out the ass and nobody to play with. I'm pretty fucking over it though. I just wank on my shit while I watch tv. Suck it world.
