Everyone is miserable all the time and I'm not having any fun anymore.

And fuck my stupid job, waste of a day.

fuck all our shitty lives. from mental health to homes burning down. we are own light.

life is always trying to beat us down so all i can do is pose this: you’re here to beat life to death. not the other way around.

and you’re kicking life’s ass every day that you wake up and endure or decide to fix what’s wrong. either way, you’re still alive and can give yourself purpose.

Yeah man, I'm a pretty emotional type dude, but I don't give up. Nobody beats me down repeatedly. Nobody.

I work in Cincinnati. Does that make me an honorary Ohio Fuzz Brother?

I love how most of my shitty life is just a repeating patchwork of coping mechanisms to avoid reality, and so when reality comes knocking I don't/won't have a clue what to do.

Man, weekends are so good. Mondays are not so good. Trying hard to make it to a place where happiness is not circumstantial...that’s what all the old folks say they realize they should have done before they die.

Gave some old PS4 games that I don't really play anymore to a co-worker, turns out that he sold them to his younger cousin a few days after for $30 each.

you email to simply ask permission to use audio from 40+ year interview footage that the company didn't even film themselves, are ignored for a month after sending multiple emails, and then after finally calling them to leave a voice message. This is then responded to by email to tell you that they received all your emails but intentionally 'ignored them because they thought you couldn't afford the cost to license them, our assumption is correct right?'. :picard: which is sad, because it is true, but you still wish you were treated like a human being instead of a pile of trash for hoping that some things in the world weren't completely broken... And the irony of the speech within the interview of that audio reflecting these exact social situations is not lost on you either

Write them back and tell them that you represent a confidential network and their proposed licensing fee could easily have been covered. However, since they chose to ignore you and further insult, and since the content you needed isn't vital to the project, that you will not be working with them. CC everyone you've tried to email at that company. Let them feel like they fucked up and lost a sale even though that's not true, because rude motherfuckers need to learn the hard way.

Better to ask for forgiveness than ask for permission.

Unless you're in America.
Then, it's better to sue before you get sued.
