I’ve been on here for a little while and haven’t officially introduced myself. My name
Is Bobby and in live in San Antonio. I grew up here but I just moved back a couple of years ago. I was in Nashville for about 6 years before coming back (I Miss the Nashville CL most out of the whole time I was there. Tons of dream gear.) There really isn’t much of a scene here for stoner doom. Bands don’t really make it here because they hit Austin but luckily Austin isn’t too far (2 hours)
I was a Chef forever but this pandemic has me at home thinking and thinking about how my life is going to be. I’m not sure if people will really go out to eat much. My old job can’t really afford me so I’m sitting out and waiting for it to get busy. So I’m trying to use my money now to invest in a small online music equipment shop specializing in vintage and heavy music. So far I have acquired a Vox Pathfinder 10 that I plan to mod. A Vypr that I also plan to mod. A boss fix-2. Couple of Roland cubes and a peavey 210. The main thing I have is my Ampeg V4B. Not too much but I just barely decided to give Flipping gear a shot I also have some other endeavors going on so right now I’m going through a metamorphosis. I was working 72 hour weeks so I never had time to do anything. I have a family of 6 and they need to eat so I’ve always been focused on taking care of them. I played music and I have been in bands most of my life. Now I have time and money to invest in things I’ve always wanted to. I found my silver lining in the midst of all this chaos going on in the world. I might get this Aguilar 112 cab and a gk 400rb and another 210. I see this guy has 2 Vox Parhfinders a 10 and a 15. I’m trying to get him down to 120 for both. The Vox combos might get eminence speakers in all 3 if I pick up the 2. I’ve seen a couple of guitars I might check out tomorrow. So with all that I have enough to build a nice little page I want some Sunn, Fender Bassman, Musicman and Traynor to go on that page. I am going to try and do this “distance band” with these dudes nd see how it goes I’ll probably be on here asking for advice like I already do because I value you guys opinion.

So anyways I think that turned into more of a story than introduction haha. Oh well, all I have is time right now!!!

Y’All have a good night now, you here!

Hi there,
my name is Adriano, I live in Milan, Italy and I build pedals under the name Veri-Tone. I'm not sure what's allowed or not for a builder to say about their own stuff, but I think I make a pretty damn good fuzz and have a new model on the way. If anyone could tell me what a maker is or isn't allowed to post here about their own products that'd be great thanks.

:hello: I just subscribed to your YouTube channel the other day. :thumb:

You can say anything you want about your own builds. Whether we believe you or not is a different matter.

If you're planning on selling pedals here, you should ask Tom (FuzzHugger) about a spot in the shark tank:

Hey y'all. My name is Liam, I've been lurking on ILF for a few years but was mainly too lazy to make a login until now lol. I stumbled upon Darcy's and UC's youtube channels (I think I was in the market for an OBNE Dark Star at the time) and that somehow led me here. I've been flipping pedals a lot the past few years and am starting to enter another minimalist phase where I downsize the hoard. I think I've bought and sold the majority of metal distortion pedals and HM-2 clones at this point. I'm pretty satisfied with the current incarnations of my baritone and bass boards (famous last words?) so I'm just kind of fucking around with reverbs lately and running vocals through them. Anyways, the forum has brought me much enjoyment over the years so I thought it was time I participate a bit.

I'll snap a pic later, but they are a bit bland by ILF standards. I'm trying to keep things lean though because I found with bigger boards I just spent all my time in a cycle of turning things on and off, playing for a few seconds and then switching the combo again.

oh don't worry about that, all boards are fun if they make good sounds.

I totally agree about bigger boards  option paralysis

Might as well introduce myself seeing as I have been away from this board, I dont know 6 years? maybe more?

:hello:

My name is Max and I guess I would consider myself an old school ILF member, I started posting here because it was because of this site and the wonderful gas inducing people that I was introduced to Devi, Dwarfcraft, and so many other awesome stomp boxes.

I started playing bass when I was about 15, influenced by my cousin who was a bass player in a local thrash metal band in Portland Oregon. As a player I only progressed to riding the E, by my groove and intonation were enough to keep me in bands playing. Had a blast and between drama, bad gigs and not feeling it I hung up my gigging days shortly before I join ILF for the first time.

From there I became a bed room bass player that got the GAS bug HARD - I dove head first into flipping effects and between ILF and the next thing it sustained me for a long long time.

Then I sort of fell out of love with music because I really had no direction and nothing recorded in the years after I left playing live music. Life caught up and I sold just about everything, right down the gig bags and straps and cables. I even said I would never play again but it was a lie I was telling myself because I was frustrated and I never progressed as a player. Music never stopped loving me, I just needed to do my own thing for a while.

Two kids and COVID later, I suddenly got the urge to play again. Got a 300.00 bass and with in hours, the years of good memories came flooding back and that feeling that I had when I was 18 came back. Two months later, this has been the happiest I have been playing with a 1/8th less of what I had collected.

I got a small board going again, already GAS'ing but I now have a plan and a drive to be a better player. I hope when I hop in, I will say hello to a LOT of new cool people and a lot of old friends I miss chatting with ( Jwar, Bhendy, Mudfuzz, :hello: ) and so many others

oh and boy did I miss this emote :snax:
