I think parting with instruments usually is a pretty big deal, because for the most part we customize them so much to ourselves, or have certain memories attached to them that it's almost like giving up a part of yourself, like an arm

I'm seriously considering ditching my board all together...I play bass in a metal band and I'm forcing any effects at this point. I can get my tone from my amp 100% and I just dont need anything but a tuner on the floor. Maybe this is an era of just getting out and playing for me.

I feel you on this. I'm down to mostly one dirt and a tuner in nearly all of my bands. It's weird, but it's been a year or so since I even used a pedal board.
