Yeah, FZ-2 is just a super fuzz with a 20 dB cut boost hi low EQ. And then you can basically just use the EQ as a clean boost on the third mode.

After some struggling with patches and connectors board is almost done! Almost because I'm waiting to Cioks Adam PSU to put underneath.

yeah I know I posted mine not that many days ago, but I think with the addition of the cosmichorus i am "done" with this bastard (or at least until I get realllllllllly bored). I just need to pick up a replacement volume pedal for the end of the chain so I can tame the noise sometimes
I changed my order around and now the mini is after all the modulation and before the delay/trem/verb. It really seems to give the whetstone and particle a kick in the ass

The second fav is switch is actually a channel switch for the amp, and under the plolytune/ditto lies a pedalboard interface (send/return/amp/f.sw).
Still thinking of a way to make pedalboard wider or get pedals abit closer, my OCD is killing me seeing the decimator slightly off board.
Here's what it looks like from the back:

That's one carefully laid-out little board!

I beg to differ...
I'd be very curious to hear about the actual circuit differences, cause the SuperFuzz clone I tried -wich was as close to the real thing as I could find- didn't sound identical to the boss, pretty far from it actually. The superfuzz's harsh octave thing just isn't the same as on the FZ-2, and neither is the overal eq, regardless of how you set the controls on the boss.

The Wahoo is really great for what I need it for. I live pretty close to the city's radio towers, so anything with an antenna will pick up bad radio noise. It can do a lot more than just wah sounds - it can get very very weird especially once you start to program it. Besides the wah, I end up using its envelope filters quite a bit. I had one of the very early ones when they came out that had a flaw with a internal connection port. It broke a couple of months ago, and the company replaced it for free with a brand new one so props to them for good customer service too. It also seems to take whatever fuzz I throw at it (before or after) with little difficulty. The buffer in it I don't notice any tone suckery.

The diode clipping is set up a little different, and opamps are used in a spot or two instead of bjts. Also, that active EQ in the Fz2 can go a long way in changing the sound. Still, they are very close to the same.
