Dont play it.
Ask her if shed like to discuss fair custody options with your lawyer.
Remind her that you still need to see your son, and you arent exactly down with the idea of him moving in with some guy she doesnt really KNOW.
I know that sounds prick-ish, but I think shes trying to bait you to see if you'll bend to her will (she had an issue with you dating when shes in a relationship already, didnt she?).
Power games.
Put the hammer down, let her know you dont play by her rules, walk away.
You gotta think about whats best for that kid.
You and her do not factor into that equation, outside of facilitators.
this sounds right as fuck. pop on point.

I need to know this word if so.
Was talking to friend lately about suddenly having a deep empathy for people who become mountain men/women. Time to build a paranoid tree fort.
God. Damn. This is everything I want.
Wife found this old house/original town-hall building that's for sale. Would need a complete gut to be a livable house. As-in, doesn't even have a kitchen currently. No garage. Could build garage (with loft for gear

).
House is definitely in the country. We live in the city. Place would be rad as fuck. We can afford it especially if we sell our house. But since house isn't livable as-is we'd have to put in an ass-ton of work. I really want to figure out how to make this work but think it unlikely.

Oh man that'd be so rad. I have dreams of moving down to San Antonio, which is a little over an hour south of here. Markedly less "cool" than Austin, but I think of that as a very good thing—the constant influx of poshness is nowhere near as present. Biggest draw for me: lots of warehouse buildings in various affordable/slightly run down locations, which we have pretty much none of here.

Not to my knowledge.

Haha I think I've always just insisted that you can make up any "Schadenfreude" type word in German. Don't crush my dreams, man!

bummmmedddd! the only "magic" sounding preamp tube I've ever owned, an ancient motorolla 12ax7 I pulled out of a stereo consul on the sidewalk finally died just now.. Technically it didn't totally die but it out a crazy burbling shriek and is now ridiculously microphonic.

Thanks for the support everyone. We've been talking about mediation and shared custody but that's not really enough for me. I want to make sure this guy never meets my kid.
I'm so fucking depressed right now. Everyone is getting on my fucking nerves. Not you guys, just real life people.
Ugh. I fucking hate this. Bipolarcoaster

Man, that's so rough—I hate that you're having to go through it. I'd say just do everything you can possibly do to make sure everything's fair for y'all and the best for your kid.

Are you guys in a position to buy it and chip away as a holiday project?
You should totally fucking do it.

To be honest... probably. But it'd be really tight since the wife hasn't gone back to work since the baby. So we'd have to make money stretch a lot further.

I flipped a house while living in it with two kids under three while Invisible Woman stayed home with them. I didn't make a whole lot of money at the time, either, which slowed things down.
I would say: don't do it. Things got pretty dark. Microdontophobia will get more mobile, have more complex needs, &c, meaning that you'll want to hang out with her, not rip staples out of ancient flooring. But who knows; whatever. Those kinds of projects are super fun with older kids (6+).
6+ years, not 6+ kids.
Ok both could be true.

Yeah. Is a massive project and is not suitable to live in due to its lack of kitchen. Huge project. Would be cool as fuck but the rest of your points are pretty on point.
