It's great and all, just more fun to complain.
Also the last words out of my mouth were 'what the fuck is your problem; go to sleep.'
Semicolons are important, as I want these children to understand compound formations and to have excellent grammar.

I tell my wife this all the time. I'd stay at home if her job had my pay and benefits. Or I'd go to part time do nothing instead of management if her job had the same pay.
Maybe some day.

This exactly. It's fun to complain about.
Right now baby sat with me and we played a game. Changed a shitty diaper and Joe she's going to sleep in my arms. Gonna set her down in the crib and go back to coffee because I've already been up for an hour (it's 650 am).

Casualty summary: attempted to sleep from 10pm-4am, was woken up six times. iPope's comment about brain damage is accurate.
But I would stay home if my stupid fucking job didn't mean we could live on one income. Golden handcuffs. We used to split the time when I was in grad school--I did daddy duty until 2 then taught/wrote all night. But that's no way to live. I spend the whole day at work distracting myself from missing them by bullshitting on ILF.

Isn't that the very definition of tenure?

Yes?
But I'm not tenured. I split time between faculty and administration--I'm the dean of faculty, which is a horrifying job no one wants, but one I need so Invisible Woman can stay home.

I think it's navigating invisiboner into invisivagina.

Maybe use Invisalign?

Oh shit that's something different.
'Invisivagina' is 100% the name of a track I will record.

On a 10 hour bus ride to Amsterdam. At least it's a nice bus with free Wi-Fi and a bathroom. Also I've got a ton of snacks.

I need snacks. And a grilled cheese with ham. But I want a nap more.

Mmm. I make the best grilled cheeses for myself at work, challah bread, smoked turkey, Dijon mayonnaise, and a slice of fontina and smoked provolone cheese. That's the only reason I'm excited to go back to work.

That feel when the mod works great, but you don't have the switches you need to box it up.
