Man, your boards are a fucking inspiration.
Like, I'm gonna be downsizing my board once my Ssstampede comes in, and I'm looking at your rig as a guide.
Any preference on signal chain you've found you like? Figured I'd experiment with that when I rewire stuff.
Big fan of The Cherry Wave btw.

Aw thanks so much man
I always have a clean tone pedal. So either Fuck, Mini or Elements first. Any time I use a 'clean' sound I use one of those, but they're never set up THAT clean tbh. I also set it up as pretty quiet in comparison to the rest of the chain. Then generally I'll have a fuzz or a couple of fuzzes and have them set up super super loud. Massive disparity in volume in comparison to my clean sound. I've also started us an Elements after my fuzz as a boost, which is something I never used to do, but I'm really digging right now. At the end of the chain I always have a delay and I sometimes have a verb although I can get by with the spring on my amp tbh, not really a massive user of verb live, but recording I use a ton.
So generally as an example: TUNER--CLEAN (Fuck)--FUZZ (Pharaoh)--BOOST (Elements)--DELAY (ILFDD)--REVERB (Trinity).
Really basic set up, but live I'm singing and playing so I can't be doing with any extra confusion

That's a problem I have now actually.

Once I downsize it should be easier on me tho. theres gonna be a lot that wont get used that'll ether be sold on b/s/t or used for overdubs. (I kinda like the idea of having a massive collection of stuff to pull out for certian sounds sooo.

)

Oh yeah, totally. We start recording our first full length on Friday and even though I run a small board live I'll be using a ton of shit on the record. On our last EP there's a tune called Melt and there's a Lovetone Meatball on the rhythm guitar for the entire track. It wasn't mine, it was the recording studio's and I've never been able to replicate that sound live, but as soon as I saw there was one in the studio I knew I was using it on something whether I could replicate it live or not.

Good call on using the meatball, that track sounds killer.
Yea, I don't necessarily care about replicating things live too much ether, if it sounds good go for it. Live, people wont notice much unless its super obvious.
I've been meaning to ask btw, how did y'all come up with the name? It reminds me of cherry slurpies.
with psychic powers.

Just putting words together until I found two words that I liked the sound of tbh

Apparently there's a Deftones song called Cherry Waves, I didn't know that at the time, but in a couple of interviews I've been asked if that's where the name came from, it wasn't. I liked the sound of The Velvet Underground, The Soft Parade, The Weather Underground and wanted something vaguely like those but also something Shoegazey sounding.
When I first thought of it I thought it sounded like it could've been the name of some 60's dropout community in California, where they all took loads of LSD and lived in the hills, 'cos they thought the government was poisoning the water supply.

Hrrummm! Can someone make a decent, functionality demo of the raptio? Or trade it to me so I can make one?

I'll see what I can do. don't have the ability to do video but could put together something
Had it for about a week, not sure I'm sold on it yet. Hold mode is kinda cool still working out the glitch side, which is why I bought the thing.

I think it's the Little Miss Sunshine Phaser.

Ah neat! Didn't know Skreddy made more than that crazy looking vibe in terms of modulation although I will admit I haven't followed Skreddy closely

Those are indeed the only two he did if I recall correctly, I'm still curious about his BC109, not much to be found about it though.
