What is the Einsturzende Neubauten pedal?

Thanks retinal. It's basically a King of Tone, so it's really two Marshall Bluesbreaker circuits in a box. Since there were two circuits, each taking up half of the box, Die Halbermensch seemed appropriate in an odd way.

The large board has been cleaned up a bit, so I need to take new pictures.

Ahhh so it's YOU who made those DMM clones I've seen in Googlimage search. Nice. Very nice. Think I remember seeing a blueface one.

The DMMs are built off of Brian at Madbean Pedal's board designs. They are both TB variants. One of them has MN3005 chips and one has the Cool Audio v3205 chips in it. I did one of each for comparison. For the MN3005 version, I added a small charge pump board so that I can power it with one of the higher current 9V outputs of the pedalboard's power supplies.

For some reason, I only have a gutshot of one of them. It was one of my earlier pedals, so the wiring isn't as neat as I generally do it now:

Because of the complexity of the build and the difficulty in sourcing legit MN3005 chips (which is what people really want), I don't generally want to build those for other people. The amount of time I spend building it would make it cost prohibitive.

I like to try out various circuits, so if a well-designed board is out there, I may use that. I like a lot of the Madbean boards (obviously, as he is one of my business partner in a new pedal company). For the smaller builds, I usually have to do my own boards, which is fine as I enjoy that as well. Here are a couple of gutshots from the mini board:

As far as 1:1 clones, many are some aren't. I usually build them straight up at first to see if I like the circuit. If there is something that doesn't suit me, I may tweak it. built these all for me, so whatever I liked is what I went with.

One Octave Up, Octave Down and 2 Octaves Down (and of course a mix control).

It's a Pearl Octaver built on a Madbean board.

Thanks for that. Nice work, the wiring looks clean and I'm surprised you even said anything. You've obviously seen the innards of old DMMs
My own unit is no exception...it's like a Lunchable with noodles...that got dropped when sealed. But that sound...makes it the last pedal I'd sell.

Good luck with the new company. Keep [us] informed, I for one will be checking into it.

Yep. Comment (and explanation) would only be required if you DIDN'T like the Asteroids pedal.
