hurm. seems like it would? it's just taking midi from it's internal keyboard and processing that with it's synth engine no? so if you send from a pattern on the Electrubsies it should interact the same way with it? you'd just be using the Electo as an external sequencer?

it's frustrating trying to have the ES2 show up as a drum machine in a DAW, but for hardware sequencing it seems like it would be pretty versatile the way each pad is a different midi channel.

I can definitely sequence the mini with the electribe. My worry is that when I disconnect the internal keyboard from the synth engine that it also disconnects incomming midi from the internal synth engine.

So it almost works. It's the most cock-teasery thing I've ever experienced. It lets me play whichever channel the midi-output is sending data to, however, it doesn't send the notes until AFTER they've been recorded in the sequence. So, I can't use the midi controller on the minilogue to control the electribe. It's sooooooooo close to working but it doesn't and it makes me very mad

Danno's done with one thing soon, got a tracking number that said they JUST shipped my 303 (when the ebay listing said it would BE HERE by today at the latest. MEH.), have a Beatstep Pro coming in at the end of the year, and i have such a heart and ear erection for a MicroMonsta, but probably not going to be able to grab one until the new year.

vacation soon, monies, she is tight.

I might contact them. If there isn't some update available that can't fix it I might try to use one of those online hex editors to try and fix it myself. I know you can edit the firmware that way (that's how you do the sampler/synth version hack). I might just live with it, though. It's not a bad setup at all as it is.

You'll get a hang of it fast. Superbly user friendly designed.

Spend two hours tonight rediscovering deep programming on the Microkorg and damn it sounds radical. I had almost forgotten the depth of it, and I just love its character.

I did the same thing this morning! So much variation in there -- I've been exploring the control knobs for each of the oscillator waveshapes. Crossmod and PWM ftw. :omg:

Either? I think the only difference is the packaging? I had the regular. If you want the sound of one, though, you might want to look for a MS2000R? They're rack-mount and look like they might have a more immediate interface.

mannnnnnnnnn i used to LOVE the MS2000. the R was the first synth i ever bought i think. spent so much time inside that buggererer. might grab one eventually.

........ i really need to stop looking at THINGS and stick to THE PLAN.
