so how is the sleepdrone5? would love to here some of oyur mixes with that. I just got the grendel dromne commander but I was gassing for that. didn't have cv or clock out how does it play with the Volca beats?

I haven't combined them to Voltron yet. :)
That's actually two separate boards for different styles.

I guess you could make them work together for droning. The Volca can be coaxed into doing dronesy stuff so I guess I could mix them together. I don't see how I could make the 707 drone. I was thinking about the hihat insert mod though. That would make me able to insert another sound source for the hihat. The sleepdrone might be just right for that.

Sleepdrone is awesome but I haven't explored it enough yet. For example I'm still to try if you cannot use the separate outs of the oscillators for cv/lfo purposes. I don't know if they go low enough though.

Beentalking to a bunch of people who have been using the sleepdrones but more gendels , but either way would be same,, They have been sampling cool drone and drone beat ocsilations off the LFO/Filters. they then bring them into a dwa and line them up and export the samples into synths and trigger them with midi or a sequencer... I was going to build a sequencer for my rig... we'll see. I would love to hear some of your drone stuff any samples?

How funky is this thing.... much smaller than the giant fucking Q-Tron I have and I see them around used a lot.... but it has to be funky! No exceptions!!!

I use a makeymakey to control the iOS synth apps (like animoog) with my guitar: I put several pads behind the guitar's neck which sends several CC midi message.

It's like having a midi keyboard fixed on the guitar, but my hands can stay on the guitar neck and play synth notes with the chords.

The grid and the two aluminium buttons are Monome 64 and Monome Arc2 to control the app "Party Van" on Max/msp

the Guitar is a Loic Lepape Jazzmaster:

Oh, wow, that looks like a stunning setup!
Have you tried using that new Waldorf iPad synth with it?

Not yet, I tried Animoog, Nlog Synth and Sunrizer. I think my needs of synth as guitar backups are ok with these apps
the waldorf seems a little complicated, a complex setup like this needs "plug and play" parts.
