There's not a chance that's sounding like a guitar at the end of that signal chain...

Hi
Thanks for the positive comments
True, it is possible to make stuff that sounds nothing like a guitar with this rig!
Why nothing I brewed up myself?
Well, secretly there is a buffer / splitter under the Tuner pedal that I made myself
But reality is the music I like to play these days relies a lot of ambient sounds, so I sold a couple of reverbs I built and bought the Big Sky
I also used to run a Memory Man and Aqua Puss clone, of my own fair hand, which were replaced by the Timeline. the Timeline just does so much and can easily cop those classic sounds to boot.
For things like Chorus and Flanger, again, the Mobius was bought to replace those effects and is very nice as it can be used pre-post without extra switchers with the Space Station etc
Altogether, a lot of my analog time based effects got replaced by the Strymons, and for the rest, its not DIYable - loopers I need perfect loops, not lofi, the Slicer cant be replaced by anything else I know of, Kaoss Pad (lolz) forget about it!
I spose I could have used my own compressors and drives / dirt, but I love the Elements and support Dinosaural so that one day Dan Coggins will put out some new modulation effects on par with Lovetone.
Thats my story and Im sticking by it :P

This is what I use for droning.
The awkward arrangement is due to these guys being on a short daisy chain together. One fine day I shall acquire a better one. For example from One Spot.

This is a work in progress. My electro-dance kit. I'm slowly learning how to use all this shit and how to make fun sounds with it. I need a couple of cables too. And a bigger mixer. Four tracks ain't enough.

so how is the sleepdrone5? would love to here some of oyur mixes with that. I just got the grendel dromne commander but I was gassing for that. didn't have cv or clock out how does it play with the Volca beats?

I haven't combined them to Voltron yet.

That's actually two separate boards for different styles.
I guess you could make them work together for droning. The Volca can be coaxed into doing dronesy stuff so I guess I could mix them together. I don't see how I could make the 707 drone. I was thinking about the hihat insert mod though. That would make me able to insert another sound source for the hihat. The sleepdrone might be just right for that.
Sleepdrone is awesome but I haven't explored it enough yet. For example I'm still to try if you cannot use the separate outs of the oscillators for cv/lfo purposes. I don't know if they go low enough though.
