This.
While not having owned a DTF, I have found that if you put the RR post-dirt, it just flat out sucks if you are trying to use both at the same time. Made my ECT and Robot Devil sound like shit. Pre-dirt is where it is at for me.

Leaving this here. Never has it felt so bad to go for a drink with a friend than tonight. I wish I could have spent some more time with the timeline, my new babe in the board. Now it's into the cold water, first time I really get to spend some time with her is at band rehearsal.
Is that the Fairfield Ring Mod? Freeze and GB24. Three pedals I wanna have. Sweeeeet board.

Oh you guys... You only said that to make me pull apart my newly assembled neat board, did you not? Well, you succeeded. I have tried it now and pre dirt makes randy shine and sound more beautiful. But after dirt is just so much more gnarly and evil noise that I decided to put it back where it was. Good call though.
Edit: you made me realize I mostly turn on Randy when all I want to contribute to the band sound is rhythmical noise. Typically I will have either the Ether or the DD running into RR to make it even nastier. But realizing this absolves me of auditioning the Vitruvian Mod, because that one will only be more pretty sounding than Randy. Basically replacing the RR with a Vitruv was something that crossed my mind a couple of times. Maybe I can call it quits for now.

Haha, yeah, it took me a pretty while to get used to the lingo too. The abbreviations can really make it hard.
Anyway, here's the signal chain and the photo repost for this page because I'm attention whoring.

Bastin Zero into
GB24 > DTF > Ether > Freeze > DD > BF-2 > BEZ Sweeper > RR > Spring Chicken > TL > Tuner
into Roost 100W Combo Amp
or Selmer 50W Treble n Bass mk3 at home

Why is the board pictured on a green screen? To make it appear flying in space or in a field of flowers? A war zone?

So that all these are options and because my floor was dirty so I cut it off but needed the pic in a square format for Instagram.

Floor? You have a floor? How fancy.
I live on top of a large shelf.

Oooh nice board! Spill the deets on the ether if you will. Kayzers demo was awesome but not really my style!

I can feel you on Dennis' demos. They do absolutely nothing for me, because his playing is so different from mine that I could just as well listen to anything that sounds unlike I would ever play.
It's a superfuzz, does all the octave shit and feeds back like a wheevil if you want it to. Nicely and controllably I think but my guitar hardly feeds back at all. I could not see this with a jazz box.
What sets this apart is the parametric eq. The two knobs let you set a frequency and then either boost or dampen that freq. That opens up lots of extreme sounds but most important for me gives you the ability to tailor the tone so that you won't be lost in a mix. I had the feeling that within my band with it's very full sound spectrum with me and a keyboarder cluttering the frequency range whenever I stomped on something fuzzy it would make my guitar drown in the mix. (DTF is a rare exception to this rule.) With the Ether I can simply dial in that I want a specific freq to be boosted and voila: fuzz that cuts like a rusty chainsaw.
I love it.

I can't help myself. I need to run like three amps so I can actually use all the dirt pedals I have lying around.
