For me it's not about number of knobs or anything but I thought I'd give it a go, I really dislike complicated pedals(like the Bigsky which I still have not explored at all).
It sounds a bit like a Super Hard On but the high notes don't get all hard and ice pick like when you turn it up. It also has about three times the volume that a Super Hard On has which is crazy maybe like a Blowing Up level of loud but clean all the way.
I read somewhere that it was based on a Korg SDD-3000 delay preamp so I guess that might be a good frame of reference. I think it's a little bit like a nicer version of a SHO but theyre completely different circuit wise, I think the SHO boosts everything hence ice pick this is a bit more selective so it boosts everything but to me it still sounds good. I'm very happy with it as like a final version of a pedal that I need for my sounds I'll never need to sell, but I don't know if I'd buy it to see if clean boosts were for me.
I have to say, that is the most helpful review of that pedal I have seen, so thank you. I'm with you on simple pedals, and I know clean boosts are for me, so, maybe I will pick up one of these when I have the spare cash...whenever that is.
One more question: is the volume control more of an off-to-on boost, or is it like an EP Booster when minimum is unity volume and it just goes up from there?

Even on the minimum setting there is a slight boost but it's only very slight it's more just the coloration of signal. I don't get why everyone is so secretive about talking about the sound of these pedals I guess because it's a TPG sort of pedal, gotta raise the mystique before he stops making it so it turns into another Klon.

I think it's more that it is difficult to describe what it does without sounding like it's some "secret sauce" nonsense, which is mostly how I've seen it described on other forums. I just think it's weird that the pedal has been around for over two years and there are zero soundclips of it, aside from Jack White using it on some songs but I don't give a fuck about that, and it's not like you could single out a boost pedal in a recording anyway. They seem to sell pretty well, so, something's working.

how do you find the accountant? i've been thinking about getting one. can it be used as a boost? sustain?

I have on pre and one post dirt reverbs, I really don't care for delay I've realised too. I always just set them real short like a reverb anyway.

I mainly use it for a light compression all the time thing, it can get a bit clicky on squishier settings I dunno if that's a deal breaker. You can use it as a boost definitely works well as sustain too. Slight colouration but in a really good way

Yeah, I find it much more useful than a traditional wah. Great for that trashy 'garage rock' sound and lead type stuff.

So about to go through a rework and get a daughter board for a noise loop.. but I figured document and change so I have a history LOL... I have way to many I want ot use I have to really make a decision on 2 OD's, 2 fuzz, one delay on main board one on daughter, currently using reverb in amp and separate spring fender tube unit which will get a tape added soon.
11 chn looper on way will sell the 9channel once it gets here tomorrow or so..
the daughter Noise loop will be the table top system. I have an a/b/y I built with a klon bufferd output I might use for that to save a slot on the 11 channel...
