So I had another practice with band #2 today, I think we are leaning towards "Medicinal Mountain" as a name. Feedback on that or better ideas are welcome. I brought the doubleneck just to show off as last time they were all disappointed that I left it at home. Busted a string on the Sg and ended up using it to finish the session. Fuck that things heavy. Sounded great, but heavy. I need to buy a back brace thingy like you see the folks at home depot wearing. We did get through the song we wrote and got new parts written for another that was mostly pre written. I like where things are going with those dudes.

maybe you need to swiss cheese the guitar from behind...but i guess you would get massive neck dive on it...its one of those things, "form over function"...looks freaking Doom-tastic...but then you get Back pain-tastic!

Not the biggest on the name. Just doesn't roll of the tongue like it should. i think it's the Medicinal portion more than anything. nevertheless I first read it as Medicine. But that's like just my opinion man.

We played with these guys Monday night and someone filmed part of their set. You guys might dig these dudes. The bassist ran through a V4 and a Beta and the guitarist had a Mig and a Laney. Also had a pedalboard with a Boomerang and all kinds of cool shit. They made me not wanna go on after them because they sounded so tight.

Soooo I have exciting news… for me anyway!
I'm having a custom guitar built in China hahaha

I've always wanted that greco rg550 (rickenbacker 481)
In black with binding etc but they are rare as shit!

So I'm having one built to my specs - with my neck profile and everything I wanted….
FOR $330 shipped via courier in a hardshell case!

Very excited to see how it pans out as they look so badass.

Also had the builder make sure that there was space for p90s

Sounds like this could go horribly wrong or totally awesome. I would be interested in seeing the final product when it arrives!

I've got a bass from the same manufacturer which made me pull the trigger on it.
It's a pretty good bass and at the end of the day - if only the hardware is letting it down, it's totally upgradable!
