At a closed off Halloween party where everyone is high on something but me (because I'm lame like that). I like hanging with tripped out people, but I'm sooo hungry and if you leave the building you can't come back in.

I think cannibalism is "in" right now.

Damn I took some damage today. Closed on my house for what turned out to be a loss because our realtor surprised us with a poor calculation...spent the eve with my mom, who has been MIA since her psychosis took over--gotta watch her like a hawk with the kids...and a dept chair at the College I work at called me out in a massive email highlighting what he thinks my deficiencies are. So I gotta drop the hammer on that and probably get him to quit...or fire him. He's not totally wrong, but it's him versus the rest of the College...

Responsible adulthood is shit.

My one of my sister's five cats has feline aids. So far tests have come back negative, but I wish there were something I could do. They've had such a hard couple of years with medical bills and work, this really couldn't have come at a worse time or happened to better people or cats. I'm way too far away to make them dinner or help in any tangible way. Maybe I'll send them a care package....

I don't like being a narc, but if you're letting off fireworks in a suburban area past 11pm - then you're a total cunt.

I wrote to Zoom in June to help me install updated firmware on my R16, which they never responded to. The unit's been working fine so I let it go.

Today it won't mount at all no matter what I do, and now I even can't attempt to update the firmware because it needs to mount for that to happen.

Writing Zoom again, what's the likelihood they're going to completely ignore me again? Anyone know how to get through to a company that doesn't seem to give a shit?

Pedaltrain never wrote me back when the strap crapped out on me and sent my whole board tumbling down a flight of stairs. Wrote to them again a few weeks later. That was months ago. Never buying PT again.

Seriously? Wow wow. I've always been pleased with their customer dérive whenever I had to deal with them but this is downright lame. I don't move my board as frequently as you do. I think I've used the bag with the new one (went from first gen PT2 to Novo 24) once? Makes me wary.

Sorry to hear about your sister's cat but FIV isn't as bad as it may sound.
I have a cat that got FIV from his mother during birth.
He's 6 and has had a completely normal life with no signs of the virus at all.
It does weaken the immune system so they just need to be careful and try to
avoid infection (no fuckin' or fightin') and get treatment quickly for any issues.

Here is some good info: http://cats.about.com/cs/healthissues/a/fiv_in_cats.htm

They're going to keep in the attic and take him outside in an enclosed cat-run when the weather's good, supervised of course.

I just made cookies and failed in the strangest way possible. I am sooooo annoyed. Oddly enough, they could've been saved had I used a cooling rack...
