I run screaming back and forth between those two poles (work is a nightmare/that's why I get paid to do it). I am super duper lucky to have a job where I make enough to support my fam...but my job is to push back on shitty ideas that come from academic deans and the president of the college. So, by nature, I am constantly on blast. If I am not, I am not doing my job.

There is no utopian middle ground (for anyone, I think).

yea i think you're right. its tough man. the job world sucks, but the no job world has its own set of challenges.
