I HATE cars. The only people who don't hate them are car nerds who don't care about spending a lot of time working on them and spending money on that shit, and people who are (at least relatively) rich.

I woke up to a dead car today :joy:
It's probably just a dead battery but still a pain in the ass. My car is getting old too, and I've had to fix something on it like 3-4 times a year for the past couple years. I have zero dollars for a new one, or for payments. Stupid cars. Money-sinks.

Awesome. I get the four driers on the far end of the wall. Three guys walk in and take the two right next to me and stand right in front of them and the nearest table. Out of the entire damn laundromat.

Just finished watching 'Dear Zachary'. That fucked me up good. What a beautifully tragic documentary.

Holy Shit. I hereby rescind my bitching about my car and pedal woes. That is sad as can be.

What's your story? Do you think you need to go, or is someone else suggesting you need to go?

It's complicated, but basically some important people are harping on the performance of a metric I have no direct influence over that happens to define my job... even though everyone at my position and above knows that I have no direct influence over that metric.

So it's been a week of sort of implicit questioning about whether or not I know how to do my job (at least that's how it's been feeling).

LOL.

Got forwarded a list of resumes to look through. It didn't get sent to me the first time, and my immediate boss was a little puzzled. Looking through it there's a couple of people who "salary needs are too high for this but maybe he's a good candidate for D.o.S.'s job?"

HA.
