Been going small lately. The TS-9 helps with getting a tone that's sort of reminiscent of old thrash with my Tweaker in British mode.

This might be a question I can research myself, but I thought I'd ask whether either of you have compared the Octron to a Boss OC-2?

I've had experience with a Boss OC3 if you're interested.

I'm not sure. I have an OC-2 and love it, but I would love to compare it to the Octron and keep the one I use more. How different are the OC-2 and OC-3's? I THINK they derive their octave sounds differently.

All I can tell you is that I found the OC3 to lack personality and have not that great of a tracking. IIRC, the Octron and OC2 do use the same octave generating method. The Octron provides both the analogue sound and the good tracking.
Anyway, I got my Octron about a year ago straight from Dave Fox's site. Service is good and delivery fast enough to the EU.

Did you have to wait for it? I remember Foxrox used to have long wait times, but that was three+ years ago when I first found them on the net.

Yeah, I want to stay analog. I love my OC-2, but I would like a little better tracking and a cleaner sound. The Octron APPEARS to deal that.
