well yeah they announced that one towards the back end of last year was the "last one" presumably for this (entirely reasonable) reason. So it's just funny they're doing another "last one".

Hope this thread continues even though fridays are done. Enjoy living vicariously through everybody's hauls and exploring unfamiliar bands. Definitely plan on keeping this ritual.

Well, they've taken one month off according to the email. June 18 is the NCAAP fundraiser day (they did this last year), and then the Fridays are back.

But for real, he's a super nice dude, a great engineer, and all the TITD records rule. Go listen if you haven't already. Temple of the Morning Star is a classic. In The Eyes of God has two guys from Mastodon as the Rhythm Section (and is better than pretty much every Mastodon record)... if you like loud ugly awful noise there's fewer people who do it better.
