not much of a sic-fi geek…but love spaghetti westerns and fantasy type shit…(notice i said "type shit" to maintain my cool while i talk geek)

as far as Super Distortions…they are freakin beautiful pickups. Not sure about newer ones…but i have a second hand washburn A20V from 1984 i think, and that has Super Distortions from about the same time. It sounds great, thick, articulate, hot and a little trebly but a bit of eq'ing on the amp, pedals or guitar and you are set.

You fantasy/western fans should read Emma Bull's Territory. It's the Tombstone story with magical elements. (Well, part 1 of it, anyway - I'm continuing to hope for an imminent release of the conclusion.)

Don't get me wrong. I love Star Wars.

I just love talking shit more.

Scruffy-looking nerf herder.

Why not shit talk AND be a nerd?

Or Sci-fi Western with Serenity/Firefly.

Thats what I was wanting to hear. I've never used any of their crashes or hihats but I've been wanting to check some of their stuff out. Might have to give it a go once I get some more cash saved up.

Nice score. Sabian makes a lit of nice cymbals these days. I would consider it, but I think I have hit my limit on cymbals for the time being.

ilovefuzz needs an I love drums thread. A lot of the drum forum sites are pretty slow moving. Where do all of your drummers go for forum fixes?

Yeah, I really like Sabians. The rides are really nice. Zildjan makes good stuff too but they are the same quality as Sabian only more expensive. I haven't found a drum forum (especially one that caters to the doom / stoner guys) that is worth a damn so I just post here for my drum related stuff. There are a few guys in here that play drums as well that will usually chime in. I know I see you post in here from time to time but this place moves fast and I can't keep up with which band you're in. Can I get a reminder?

I like most of Josh Whedon's stuff. Firefly was great and the Avengers was fun.

Talking shit is practically a requirement for being a nerd. You get to rave about all the things you love, then immediately shut down someone else who likes something that seems identical to the outside world, but completely unrelated to you. Now sit down and let me tell you all about how Star Trek is science fiction and Star Wars is just sword and scorcery fantasy with space ships. :p

Because it's not half as clever as he thinks it is. And his stuff is always unimaginatively shot, and his fanbase is actively irritating, as is his public persona.

I'm always down for some nerd shit (y'all seen Penny Dreadful yet? SO GODDAMN RAD), but Whedon's stuff is really fucking droll.

Maybe it's because I was tasked with reading + critiquing way, way too many attempts at Whedon-esque screenplays and stories while I was in school.
:idk:
