We're talking about practicing, and guy is like "oh yeah, come over to my place" and place is pretty much exactly where there was a race riot last night and maybe again tonight.
I'm like murrrrr...how do I get out of this politely?
I'd really prefer my car not be burned, k.
Tell him it's past your curfew.

Mr. Robot is a great show.
I bought boutique, handmade pogs in a comic book format at ComiCon international when those things were hot. How many lawns did I mow to pay for them (pitching "investments" to kids is kinda funny looking back)? Oh well, ended up with a ton of great comic though.
Eh, not motivated to work today.

so my band mate is missing.
a bit of background...the guy is a genius, but he also suffers from sever bi-polar...over the last few months his condition has been worsening as he stopped taking meds and not taking care of himself. It finally blew up last week, and we tried to get him admitted to hospital, but his parents (who are away) didnt give permission as they thought he was fine.
Now, his been missing for 3 days...last time anyway saw him he was wondering the streets after the police had talked to him, and assessed he was "OK" even though it was 10pm, and he was wearing only a pair of shorts, a t-shirt and carrying his tele...
its all getting real fucked up, and we are all feeling really helpless at the moment.

Yeah that's some serious shit.
On a much more mundane level: I have misplaced my beer. And I haven't even had one, I just put it down and wandered away to make music and now I don't know where it went.

My roommate is blasting Suede. Is there any way to make murder legal?

You spent close to three hours finding your beer?

Clearly, he drank more on the journey to recover it.

I was in a band with a brilliant drummer who unfortunately had schizophrenia, and a similar thing happened to him; he turned out to have hitchhiked across the country to see family without telling anyone. It was scary. Hope your bandmate is okay.
