Wow. Y'all. Y'all. I'd write more, but i've been mooching wi-fi off the neighbors all day bc the wi-fi here stopped working on just my computer. Now i'm getting yelled at for power cycling the internet. So i'm gonna go listen to some bullshit in an epsom salt bath and read a book. LYLAS, but also i have work tomorrow.

Okay, internet, tone, sorry:

I'm not bummed, these jokes were hilarious, it's just that y'all are some of the corniest dad-humor folks i've ever talked to/with/about.

Now i'm arguing with lesbians about how to get the wi-fi turned on. Moving to the west coast.

See... this is the stuff I want to see on TV/Streaming Sites. None of this contrived 80's throwback stuff.

No disrespect. Just really invested right now.

Just a minor update, we saw her surgical oncologist today who may have been the most fun doctor I've ever met. She told us that she's super confident that this will amount to nothing once we get it out, that the surgery is like an hour in twilight and then less than a week recovery and that it's possibly entirely unnecessary, but should be done because my wife is young enough and there's no reason not to do it.

That's huge. Like, they still have to do it, but it's not nearly as awful as it could have been.

We'll still have to have it removed, and we'll still likely need to do 5 weeks of radiation and 5 years of drug therapy, which i still can't afford, but the chance of this being terminal is almost nil.

Having done this myself, I know that doctor's don't say that. For the woman to come out and lay it on the table was a huge fucking relief, I mean, it's still awful and stressful and all that, but it's nice knowing that this should be more than surmountable.

Also, it's crazy. The astounding web of support for women with breast cancer and the way everyone in this profession treats everyone is goddamned eye opening. When I was diagnosed, I didn't get any of this. I didn't get a doctor's personal cell number, a designated case worker calling me multiple times and like cancer groups and fliers at every turn. I'm kinda upset that, in a way, the effective imbalance in how this is being handled, but it's fucking powerfully touching (as a man) to see how well women can band together for their own.

Anyways. That's my update.

Also, I'd rather deal with this than live with lesbians. Those chicks get crazy! Always.

(Bows deeply)

And I made those posts while bathing kids, which is the most dad activity of my day. Minimal screaming (from them), only one got shampoo in her eye, none drowned tonight.

That is awesome bloatedsack! really happy to hear that.

And this living situation is crazy. It's with an old ex (not the most recent one) who is awesome, and three other people i have varying degrees of feelings about. Just took an epsom salt bath, currently sitting in a bed with my dogs, my ex, and one of their current partners, talking about which dog is Blue from Blue's Clues, listening to this:

Gonna go watch 90s WWF wrestling. Being a homo rules y'all. Except when it doesn't.

Shit hit the fan in a big way in my life as a lesbian house guest (read that which ever way you want). I can't even begin to get all the details on here, but one person with a history (should i say herstory?) of emotional manipulation and abuse who always swears she has gotten better has clearly not gotten better and taken it upon herself to make me feel immensely uncomfortable being anywhere in this house. But, she moves to a different time zone in 4 days, and i'm working all four of those days. Soooo, i can make it? But i hate it?

Sartre jokes are not necessarily dad jokes, but to this day, this shot remains my favorite part of the the 80s slasher oeuvre:

And yet I feel an entirely undue amount of accomplishment at this....

PV, you can make it.
This is gonna be one of the worst things I've ever written here, but in all honesty the past couple of pages were hilarious.
It's like a version of Girls I could give a fuck about and actually watch.

Fuck, that show is awful.
But, The Sharehousing Adventure is Psychic Vampire....straight up 3 season deal without a pilot. Let's do this.

In other words, you'll look back and laugh at this.
