I love my ECT, how do think it stacks up against the other muffs?

Well its been along time since i played a russian big muff, i guess that would be the equivalent. All them cool features aside, and that's tough with how the knobs are so interactive... I cannot get the ECT to sound like my V2 or V3. Its just not as harmonically dense as either. The v2 and v3 are white noise to the ECT's pink noise. And even though the Vs are much denser sounding, individual notes ring through much clearer, like with chords. I think the ECT might have a wider range of tones thanks to its control setup, but its wall of fuzz seems more one dimensional than the 3d of the Vs. There is the family resemblance, but the ECT sounds too...much. Being able to bypass the tone stack is tits, and really drove me to try and tweek the sound of the Vs. I found using the death by audio kill kill filter or the maestro parametric filter/od work to good affect, especially the latter. All said i love the ECT, but its no rams head.

it got heavy. i'm going to record with that later today, but with a half stack and a maestro parametric filter in place of the kill kill. also gonna add a moogerfooger delay after the ECT with a freqbox in its fx loop. followed by a ss/bs fuck od for some crackle

How does that ECT sound with the vox? Just ordered mine and hoping it's gonna like my AC30.
Btw, that infanem is massive!! Huge I tell you. Always thought they were like a Prometheus sized pedal..

You think that's big, go back a few pages and check out the snazzy fx. you'll know them when you see them. THOSE are huge my friend. Its incredible how huge the infanem can sound, i really like his vision. The faye's her is pretty large too, about the same as the harmony synth. but his other pedals are all smaller.

I think the ect sounds great with the vox :thumb: Often I like to start with top boost channel just on the verge of break up. Sparkly clean sounds great too, with all pedals. With high gain pedals i'll most likely use clean channel. I wish I had use for a 30 watter, so damn loud :!!!: i read or talk to people who have a hard time matching pedals to vox amps....i have no idea what they are talking about. congrats on the ac30

there is a rumor floating about that dan is re-releasing them in smaller enclosures. that's all we know, although maybe the w&f is confirmed.

no doubt. the fuzz alone was kickin. i use that pedal all the time. There was a period where his site mentioned getting cv mods, then he up and releases a redesigned model and lets me know he won't do the mod for mine anymore....that kinda sucked. Doesn't change how i feel about his pedals, he has a pretty cool vision. :joy:

also, i'm ig'nant. who do you play with?

i'm not.....certain.....what with all the......anger/hatred.....towards me here, that I want to break anonymity. not sure i need that. i agreed with myself not to market or advertise in any way. but in general i play solo performances, or duos, or trio's or whatever just depends. the band is a four piece, sometimes seven. there's a long story.....

Just tell me you are not in the house band for some variety/reality show and I'll be happy, other wise

Hey Unclegrandpa
Whatcha using for power source for those set ups?

And also don't be shy about your band.... we are a pretty supportive group... I mean unless your are in Hootie and the Blowfish or something...or the Dave Matthews band...fuck the dave Matthews Band...those fuckers. Well, the guy who plays the fiddle is pretty good. Are you the guy that plays the fiddle? Still those guys can make money. I wish I could make money. I wish I was in a legit band. Makin money....sigh.

pedal power, and outlet boxes i've made. i leave them out of the pics cause it gets to be a mess, same thing with cabeling up mooger foogers/cp-251...there are cables just going everywhere.

tl;dr i have responsibilities and don't need any drama
