Good to see some KOMA lovin' too, there will be a FT201 on my new board. Great company!

Thanks :joy: I really dig that gate/delay. its so fun, and intended to go beyond the basic 101ms delay and into uncharted sonic territories. I also picked up two of their koma commander infrared cv/expression pedals and they are so badass. I really liike the ft201, and what ever that dope control unit they came out with. i can't wait to see what they come up with next.

Awesome!! Yeah I grabbed a Kommander as well for my board, plan on having a whole heap of fun with that :D I've got a mate building me like a 'super expressinator', with 8 inputs and 8 outputs, so the Kommander will fit in nicely with that beast :)

I would love to hear some clips of your monster collection in action!!

Nope they should all work the same. I got this in a spur of the moment trade and I'm pretty happy with it. I don't really use the phase switches on it but there are options to run clean into channel A or run channel B into C. I also dig that it has the feedback loop on one channel, adds some crazy sustain without being overpowering.

But yeah I'm sure someone could build you just a simple looper with however many channels you need and a mix control for each.

I've heard a phase switch can be pretty important, but it might only be of use for modulation and I'll probably be using this just to mix two dirt pedals in parallel.

hollowhero wrote:You probably don't need a fancy one. The expensive ones just match impedance or have the ability to flip the phase of the signals.

I only bought the keymaster b/c it was $100 off. It's nice though: I can switch/blend between two pedalboards, add a wet/dry to any pedal, or run my guitar and synths through my pedals. Pretty handy.

Do you know what the benefit of impedance matching is?

And yeah, definitely check out the Clarinot! Both the fuzz and clean versions are rad!!

Will do. While I'm on hiatus i've been putting together a couple :erm: new pedals recently to use on the new material we're working on. Always good to hear someone excited for a piece of gear they own or owned. :thumb:

I have to second that - I sold my Clari(not), and regret it to this day. For the life of me, I can't remember why I got rid of that pedal.

Mid-Fi makes great pedals. All of them are full of character which has the side effect of them being kind of hit and miss sometimes. I love my Clean Clari(not) and the Demo Tape Fuzz, had one of his others a couple of years ago (I think it was the pitch pirate?) and could not get a sound I liked from it. That's the thing, they are like living things. You can bond with some, but probably not all.

I don't get much of a chance to use my Deluxe Pitch Pirate since picking up a TimeLine, but I love that pedal. I bought it a year or so ago when Mid-fi was offering a deal for a select group of HCFX forum users. I wasn't saving up for anything in particular at the time so I thought I'd just get in on it. I fancied trying it, obviously, but I knew I could resell it for what I paid for it minus shipping and taxes if I didn't use it that much. Well, not only was it awesome and incredibly usable in almost all settings but I didn't have to pay any taxes. :yay:

From input to output:
Snazzy Fx Tracer city > Dwarfcraft The Internet OD > Snazzy Fx Mini-Arc > Shin-ei fy-6 Superfuzz > Interfax Harmonic Percolator > Lightfoot Labs Goatkeeper mkII > Moogerfooger Phaser > Koma bd 101 set to deconstruct bits > Moogerfooger Delay. moog ep-2 for feedback on delay, and amount on phaser. enjoy :joy:

AG, phase will still be important. If you mix two fuzz pedals, but the signal is 180 degrees out of phase, they will cancel each other out to a greater or lesser degree. There is no standard for pedals as to what phase the signal should be in at the output. When you run mono or in serial you don't need to think about the phase. But stereo or paralleling - phase is important.

Yeah, I've been doing some more reading and I think you're right.

One Control have the Mosquite Blender that fits the bill well—small, phase inverter, buffered. It's pricey for what it is though. I don't care about a fancy BJF buffer. Anyone can design a simple buffer that does the job.
