Check out the Burnside brewing sweet heat from Portland. It's a mix of scotch bonnet pepper and apricot I think. Super good mix of wheat ale, fruitiness and spice.

It's a true road warrior relic and has all the scars and stories to prove it. The neck is amazingly well worn in as well as the fretboard, and the neck shape is pretty much a dead on match to my Monson. As soon as I got it I installed a Nickle covered SD Distortion (that I hand reliced first), some .12-.60 strings, and set it up for C standard. It plays awesomely and sounds HUGE and thick with lots of crunch, so happy right now. :yay:

Also, with a Couch Vegan Leather Strap it has absolutely no neck dive at all, and sits perfectly for my left hand to not hurt.. :doom:

NICE dude!!!!

Guess what I finally found over the weekend at a liqour store at the beach:

They had three bottles so I bought them all!

It's soooooo tasty! It tastes like real dark chocolate, not some hersheys milk shit, with just the right amount of apple mixed in. And even though its only 6.9% its fukkin effective. It's gonna be my band practice drink for the next two weeks.

Yo that SG is sweet! Also, that Woodchuck looks delicious. I'm drinking a Boatswain (Trader Joe's house brand I think?) American IPA right now and listening to Pallbearer and it's a pretty good end to a night.

Ancient, nice, very nice. And I normally don't care for SG's at all. Nice to hear you found one with no neck dive, that's usually a rarity from any I've played also I hate ones besides neck dive, there is zero weight in the body where all the weight should be.

emptyparadigm wrote:Dudes, suggest guitar straps that are cool and affordable. I reckon it's time I quit using a basic, cheap guitar strap.

I use Dimarzio clip locks and I dig them, they may be discontinued though? I have like 3 at home just in case.

I personally waited way too long to get a Couch strap. I was in the market for a new wallet a few months ago and really admired the recycling/repurposing they do and thought "what the hell?" and got a strap from them, too. It's just so much more comfortable than any other strap I've tried. And so many cool ones. It's so worth it, and my wallet is so handsome/not a Costanza anymore

Damn, why did you guys not tell me about these Couch straps before. I have found the perfect strap for my new guitar I am going to put together. Behold:

Just checked their website, if I hadn't just bought new clothes and boots to do my placement with, I'd be all about the Black Cadillac strap and that 70's Charger wallet.
I got paid today...I hope my budget allows for beer.
Just had a sneaky quiet jam in between study bits.
I'm really digging my current board.

Nah, too lazy.
I've only just managed to start finding the sweet spots between the BF and FZ. Getting some nice Om-meets-EW tones....kinda makes me treat my guit like its a bass.
Not a bad thing.

I'm keeping it real and drinking Pilsner.

Also yes on Couch straps. I have the skull holding a phone thing on mine, it's comfortable as hell. Gotta get one for my bass....probably after I get a job and a place to live though.
