That's not bad, and yup thats exactly what I've seen with them. And those trans's are not cheap at all.

Dudes, this just got announced, and I am crazy excited that we are part of it. Plus, I get to see Nails, Brutal Truth (their last Denver show!), ACxDC, and Xibalba (among many other awesome ones). Anyone thinking about trekking into Denver for the weekend?

Awww yeeee.

But why does the bus driver glare at us when we bring our halfstacks in, he's perfectly fine with moms and their crying strollers and they're about the same size.

My apologies if this has been posted already. Looks like I'm finally going to have to get a Pharaoh.

Xibalba and Nails are two of the heaviest bands I've ever seen live. Nails in particular fucking crushes everything. I'm really stoked to see them at This Is Hardcore this year.

I posted it three hours ago - it's already three pages back on the thread. Reposted for maximum fuzzosity.

My rig is sorely lacking in Shriner emblems.

Fixed that for you. The only ones that register for me are the fancy little Subaru collaboration ones.

Sounds like a solid plan dude, those turbodiesel motors are cool but kinda finnicky, is it a Jeep Liberty? I think your on the right track with selling it.

Fucking boooooooooo. I was hoping it was an old Wrangler with a giant turbodiesel crammed in there.

we just had a string of three great shows. super fun all around. i got in touch with john and darren, but darren's on tour and i didn't give john enough notice. i'm pretty bad at letting my friends know when i'm going to be in their towns. i still got to hang with some good old friends, play some good shows and see some good bands. made me really wish we were on a real tour. soon enough though.

the bad news was that our other guitar player blew the output transformer in his sovtek at practice the night before the first of the three shows. we were able to borrow my roomate's sovtek fortunately for these shows, but i don't know what we're going to do. dude's kind of too broke to be able to just buy amps whenever. and a new transformer isn't going to be cheap.

oh, really? that's maybe not as bad as we thought. from where? it was modded to use el34's and the transformer was changed at that point, so it was already aftermarket. would this $111 transformer be able to run el34's? the amp sounded so good with those.

Yea 2.2k primary. I could get one more for EL34s with a 1.7k, general Marshall type OT. That would be $72

does that mean it's your price, or would they sell it to me that cheap? $72 is awesome. we were thinking it was going to be like $200.

thanks for the tip. that helps. of course, there is still the price of having someone replace it, but we know a dude here who's a great tech.
