Yeah, once I started going with it, the flow is pretty natural. Though I think the act of going through and making that cheatsheet helped lodge things in my head.
Already impressed with the amount of ideas this is giving me. Especially in a parallel loop in my mixer, where it can just add accents to something else. Fave thing so far is having just the DIV tone (with the MULT running through the lfo but not audible) to add funky bass warbles to piano/organ sounds.
And I can't wait 'til I can play with my saxophonist friends again... definitely want to run some sax sounds through this!

I don't know him personally but I've seen him play in a bunch of stuff, including occasionally with my peeps in Joseph Shabason's band.
He's definitely someone I wanted to book for my music series in the past. Maybe at the other end of this I'll still have a music series...

If there ever is another show, and you book him, i would definitely try to make the trip down.

Okay, I was running a vocal mic into the purpll, and trying different sounds. Massive coolness with the TRIGGER buffer switched on. I started whistling, and it became, like, a live ColecoVision soundtrack.

I love the TRIGGER buffer capture -- especially in nasty & long mode
Reminds me I haven't even tried the 2x speed/octave up dip switch

The long nasty buffer is the way to go. It might be my favorite feature of the PurPLL. Is there any other pedal that works this way? I have all kinds of glitch pedals, but none of them have a semi-random buffer like the PurPLL. I'm curious about what it would be like with a clean signal instead of a square wave.
There's a similar vibe you can get if with the CT5 in Transcendence mode. I'll twist the Len B around while playing and then switch to Mode 3 (so the loop is made up of jumbled chunks from the buffer), but it doesn't have the immediacy of the PurPLL nasty long buffer.

Also there's a new giveaway that I got an email about. I can't find the email now so I won't post it...but the contest looked cool. Making some music with samples or something like that.

What can you win:
1x Top prize: a PURPLL pedal. If you win but already have this pedal, then you may exchange this prize for $200 USD credit in our webstore. This prize will go to our favorite entry.
3x Random draw prizes: Three participation prizes consisting of a mtl.asm coffee mug will be given out. The winners will be randomly drawn from the pool of all eligible entries minus the top prize winner.

For this contest we will be requesting a short song/motif/soundscape or other audio experience made using this sample pack which created by 2 of our employees while testing the previous batch of PURPLL pedals. The samples are available for download here.

PurPLL arrived.
From first impressions I've got to say that it is fun to plug a bass guitar into PurPLL.
Lots to explore.

Agreed. It's also REALLY fun to not plug anything into PurPLL and just flick on the drone

Is there a way to completely turn off LFO contribution to the MULTIPLY and/or DIVIDE blocks? I realize one can set RATE and DUTY cycle to minimum but that doesn't completely eliminate it. I don't see any way explicitly mentioned in the manual. I just got this thing so I'm probably missing something obvious ... Thanks for any help. -Tim

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but that's what the toggles next to the Multiply and Divide knobs do.
