that was actually one of the first ten or fifteen albums i ever had back in 1971. i got a handful of weird import LPs that my dad pilfered from the post office...
Liege and Lief, Benefit, Burgers by Hot Tuna. when i was listening to
L&L this morning i was totally transported back to being 14 years old, listening to that scratchy LP on my brother's clapped-out Silvertone record player and marvelling at that solo, the first rock guitar i'd ever heard with zero blues licks. it still stopped me dead today.
