Indian is my happy music...
No joke.
New Conan and Slomatics are both amazeballz and worth picking up in my opinion.
Need to get the new Thou, I love summit and they are def one of the best live bands I've seen. Their singer's stage presence is second only to Jacob of Converge...
I never really got into RWake, every time I go on a new music binge I always forget about them...

I'm weird about music. The more cathartic the better, but cathartic to me means emotionally relieving and sympathetic to my moods. In which I generally have two:
1) anxiety and anger ridden to the point where I feel as if I could murder someone (if it wasn't for my moral code somehow giving me the will power not to)
2) distraught and hopeless, dragging through life waiting to die
All other times I feel pretty much devoid of feeling thanks to A life time of different depression and anxiety meds (FUCK ZOLOFT) and brain damage from a cranial injury from a car accident. As hard as I might try I haven't felt the emotion I equate as "happy" since before February 2001.
Sorry for the life story rant, I finally toked for the first time in weeks and I'm feeling reflective....

(still for bossk)
redbear mk120: not NEARLY as loud as my 2203 but its a darker, thicker, gainier version of a jcm 800. someday my dunwich will basically be a 300 watt redbear. these motherfuckers have more bass then SVTs. you have been warned.
if youre interested in hearing one and are ever in north Hollywood ill hook you up with lunch on my bill with dr.poopenstien420, he has my old one and im SURE he would dig showing it off.
krank krankenstien+: yup, bet you didnt think THAT amp could doom. oh motherfucker you would be wrong. 120 watts via 4 6550s and enough eq options to have a dark trembling nightmare. super tight MASSIVE low end, keeps together in tight chugs but will let loose if you roll your palm back on the bridge. I miss mine. almost as much as my redbear
and finally (for now) carvin b1500:
but uncle whiskey, that's solid state and a bass amp?!?
you bet your fucking ass. get ready to get your balls fucking stomped with power specs
"The B1500 delivers 700w at 8Ω, 1250w at 4Ω and 1900w at 2Ω.@ THD <1.0%"
what does that mean? it means it will fucking obliterate ANY guitar cab with power. add another cab? lol its power just doubled, now youre fucked outta 2 cabs.
when I had one of these I had an ampeg 810e. it kicked the dogshit outta it. so I bought another 8x10e, guess what it was loud as FUCK and still would hammer those cabs if I wasn't respondsible with the volume knob. add to the fact that, for a bass amp, it is a VERY classy design. and has a super sweet super easy layout. and it has a great EQ section
Tone Controls: ±12dB @ 30, 100, 300, 1k, 3k, 10k (Hz)
oh ya baby, a 30hz eq knob. with 1250 watts @4 ohms on tap :gizz:
AND this bitch sounds great on bass, takes pedlolz great, is made in murica AND can be had used for 400 shipped EASY.
good thing cause youll need the 800$ for more cabs to please this fucker.
anyways im drunk and rambling. off to bed.
That Bear tho, seriously. Master on zero, pre on 10 in my fucking apartment through my peavey 215 is SO FUCKING BASSY. And loud enough to piss off the neighbors. Fuck'm and their shitty dance music. Hit that shit with a pharaoh and kill yourself.
On another note, hadn't heard Ogre before, gotdamn, this is too good.
On yet another note, some guy offered me a swollen pickle on a pedal trade and i picked it up just to try it out for funsies and was very pleasantly surprised.Shit's dooope. Was riffin hard as fuck all afternoon yesterday until the fucking maintenance pricks smashed a hole right through my bathroom ceiling from the workin on the upstairs apartment. Now the cat, the lady and I are stuck in a hotel room for the next three or four days until it's fixed. I'm so worried about my ampz and guitarz

Agreed. Rwake are fucking awesome. They're like the only real "post-sludge" band I bonded with.
Post-sludge? Interesting. I like the sound of that. Off to go do some research.

I love rwake, never heard the term post sludge before though, more bands like this?
Hey T-rey, several pages back I saw that you have a zap machine on your board. I just ordered one from Prymaxe today, what can I expect?

Don't take mushrooms.
Go sober up. Re-evaluate situation.
If certain is man-games, accept flattery, be cool, politely decline.
Make sure no risk of (in the) date rape.

I love some Indian but I find Unquiet Sky their best release. it's the most disgusting sounding as well.
I enjoy Rwake a good bit as well. I prefer their earlier 2 albums over their later ones that get more attention.
lol whiskey and his triad.
And I'm off for bed.

So I'm having a new beer today. Has anyone tried Great Divide's Yeti? It's an imperial stout that seems to have a very toffee type taste to it. It's like drinking coffee with creamer added. It's extra sticky as well. Pretty good, if a tad too expensive for my purposes.

Oh yah, I've had the Yeti and it's been awhile, but your description brings it back. I think they have a variation or two on it as well- double Yeti, Bastard yeti..... shit, I dont know. Couple good IPAs outta there too if I'm thinking right, which is questionable at best
