Mine have been on break for a fucking MONTH. :( I can't get anything done with 3 girls in the house. I mean, I'm sure it would be the same with boys. But OMG. Drama city up in here all the fucking time!!!

Yep. I have two girls and a boy and they are all the same level of drama llama. The things they find to fight about are INSANE. Yesterday our oldest spent half the morning sighing LOUDLY because a webpage wouldn't load quickly and she was sure it was her brother's fault. ITS A FUCKING WEBSITE, YOU PRE-TEEN DRAMA QUEEN. Sometimes you just have to wait for 3 seconds!!!!

Lucky they weren't around in the dark days of dialup? Those were painful times. Click on a page then make a coffee and have a smoke. Come back and it's still loading.

This is the kind of thing that can sometimes.....only sometimes bum me out a bit. Only because I'd bet that those guys are somehow making money playing shitty music and dressing the way they do. I've come close to making the equivalent in the art world just because it would be easy and I might actually get paid for it. Over the top metal album covers would be so mindlessly easy to make.

Holy shit - two nights ago we had the power go out for a half hour, and you'd think that someone was manually removing my 8-year old's tonsils without anesthesia. I was all DUDE, LOOK, IT'S STILL LIGHT OUTSIDE AND YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT NOT PLAYING OUTSIDE ENOUGH DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR. And he was all BUT DUDE NOW IT'S SUMMER AND I SUDDENLY HATE FRESH AIR.

Thankfully the pizza we ordered arrived and he was momentarily distracted. And then the power came back on. :picard:

UGH. Sometimes I enforce some pretty harsh limits on games/tv/computer time in the summer because if I don't my kids turn into monsters, and they are bad enough already. Some days they seem fine if they play for a few hours, but other days they're just awful after 15 minutes and then the computer gets turned the fuck off.

My 4 year old just asked me what was for dinner tonight.

I just handed him his breakfast.

my 2.5 year old cant get enough of youtube...the kid can unlock our phones and ipad and get to the youtube app and find his video's...he cant get enough of Tayo the Friendly bus...but he also gets into some russian kids video's...which is slightly worrying.

but last week something magical happened...we took him to the park and he always goes nuts in the playground, and when we struggle to get him out, there's always the phone bribe...but this time I offered him my phone...and he refused! it pissed me off, because i had no way of getting him out of the park...but on the other hand I was stoked that he liked playing outside more than the phone...then again...i had to spend another 30minutes negotiating all types of deals trying to get him out of the park so we could get home in time for dinner and bed...

Oh believe me, it has got to the point where i just pick him up...but these days his so big and heavy (100cm and 18kg) that when he start to wriggle like a rabid dog in my arms i have a hard time holding him. We use to be happy about the fact that we have giant kids...but i miss being able to man-handle them!
